The customer installed the turbos himself in his garage. I'll get an expected time when we wrap this up.

Nice. Glad I went with AMR as well. Stage2 tune, weistec Dp’s, & AWE track exhaust.....just need those upgraded turbos. 😆 Possibly this will morph into a Turbokits-AMR Stage 3 tune?

Great question my friend and valid as with today’s electronic anonymity you really never know who is on the other end. Please be rest assured I actually “tried” to go with Eurocharged in Houston first two months ago after reading many great things about them; ultimately things didn’t work out. A month later STILL waiting on my $3800 refund to “allegedly” post. Because of this snafu on their end I ended up going with AMR and haven’t looked back. Still waiting on my refund from Eurocharged Houston but that is another issue. All in all things end up for a reason and was extremely pleased with how my time and investment for my 450 was handled by Matt at AMR and event joint communication from Corey over at weistec.
hope this clarifies why I mentioned AMR in my last posts. Just a happy customer.

That location typically works on very high-end cars, but I have seen several C43s and 63s there in the past.

True and good point. 😁
Sticking with the Benz line though for a non daily driver; granted a GTR or even a C63S would be nice.
Great thing about tuning is beating the hp to msrp price point. Just imho got my C450AMG at 12k miles for $43K; granted still need to dyno but say if I was running in the mid 400’s for my current $4K vested (AMR stage 2, weistec dp’s & AWE track exhaust excluding body mods) plus say hypothetically another $10K for turbo and internal upgrades and I push mid 500’s dare even say 600+hp with monster torque then when compared back to a stock C63S which starts say around $85K plus a weistec turbo & tune upgrade- $30-$40K difference is significant in my mind when you end up comparing the two final rides. Again just my thoughts in my mind.
We’ll see though (crossing fingers Matthew@Amr & Turbokits.com) 😆

The problem is our map sensors BAR isn’t high enough for the tuners to calibrate the very high PSI.
Chris had his and dyno low 500s. Don’t think he’s taken it to track yet.
But for all that money. I’d want 550-575rwhp
not sure what they have planned if anything to fix this

Jumping into a C450/43 build is unknown waters. How reliable are all the other drivetrain parts? How will the fuel system hold up? What about cooling? The list goes on. The 5.5 is more robust platform and you can buy a used E63 for the price of a C43. Much easier to make big power there and you have more options for parts/tuning companies.

True, very good point. The C450AMG/43 build is indeed new. Guess that’s what makes it unique with what’s currently out there. Granted potentially risky and expensive if something goes wrong. Hopefully turbokits-AMR work out the main “bugs”
The E63 is mean indeed, I do love all the options already available; possibly another future build 😁
