I know we have been asked more times than we can count for a turbo upgrade option on the 3.0TT. Well, fresh out of the machine shop and on the way to be installed and then the car will be sent to AMR for tuning! Stay tuned for results!
Comparable to our other upgrades, probably a tad higher due to the extent of machining needed. Over $1000 in just jig building to be able to machine these!
Turbokits and AMR Rock!!! I’m so glad I went with AMR!! This is gonna be awesome!! Best tuners around and first guys to get onto the real high mods for this platform!! Can’t wait for it to be available!!
This will be a game changer. A higher flow rate turbo on an AWD car that already makes a ton of torque will be insanely fun on the streets! With these turbos, C450/43s will surprise A LOT of cars!
I personally have my doubts. The transmission definitely did not feel good when I was going at it at the drag strip using my most aggressive map. It was pushing me back into the seat with every change. That kind of a jerk can't be sustainable in the long scheme of things. This kind of power is okay for the tranny and driveshaft and mounts in small dosages, but sustained exposure will 100 percent make one of these three things fail in my opinion. Atleast with my piggyback I can go back to a milder map for daily. So my overall wear is averaged out to be pretty mild.
The 2017 C43s still has not seen a big mileage number yet. Specially the tuned ones. So it is a big unknown right now. Me personally, I would never run power adding bolt ons on this car without having reinforcing the transmission in some way or the other.
Also none of the full tunes even touch the TCU for optimizing it in any way. APR in the Audi world for example, tunes their TCU and upgrades its internals as well as they go adding power adders.
As funny as that is. And it is your choice to share or not. But I won’t be buying upgraded turbos without knowing this.
To me it’s like putting a cam in your corvette and the manufacturer not telling you the specs of the cam.

I’m sure after testing and they finalize everything and get them ready for production they will release all the specs.. it’s too early still, they are sending them to AMR for testing.. they may need to change some specs after testing.. they haven’t even released pricing yet either.. it’s basically just a heads up on what’s coming.. everybody just stay calm.. it will come!
