C450 was listed at 4.6 or 4.7 also, but almost certain it was 4.7. I remember reading various tests that came in at about 4.5 which made me wonder why MB would underplay it by a tiny fraction. They are both V6 Biturbos with 362 HP. The only difference is that the C450 is 7 speed, and C43 is 9 speed. And a minor percentage difference of how power is distributed btwn front and rear wheels. It's the same car renamed when you're comparing them.

Marketing 101.

I read I think it was road and track, and they did 0-60 in 4.2 with the c450. Those numbers are generalized. Many things affect a 0-60 time. They take the approach of, this is a number any idiot that can step down on a peddle will get.

Also important to read testing methods. Many state that they are correcting for altitude, etc. and others indicate a rolling start.

Not just marketing. Mod for mod a C450 will always be slower than a C43. The 9 speed transmission makes a significant difference. The PE is a must-have and not an option in the C450. And if you're comparing a 2019 C43 to a 2016 C450 they are almost different cars.

My 2 cents

Oh I know they are different. Hence why I even started this thread and was considering the switch. To me the c43 felt faster due to the shorter gearing because 9 vs. 7speed. The c43 revs up faster and likes to be in the higher rpms.
