2019 c43 AMG - starting to show up in Europe!
Hey guys,
Over the weekend saw a ton of instagram posts on the new C class and C43. I think there was an event in Germany for the showing of the cars to press. From the German Website it says "C Class available from July 7th" perhaps thats why.
Thought Id post a few of the clips I came across! If you guys have any to add, would love to see more of the car!

Those are 19s arnt they?
I ordered those for mine - same rims and its listed as 19s. I think the profile is not as slim as Id like, which makes the rims look smaller relatively. But they are 19.

I feel mixed about the facelift. I love the rear end on the new ones, its so much more aggressive. The quad pipes are much better than the fake tips on the earlier ones (like mine) and the new diffuser is much better looking as well; however, I think they made the new front end worst for wear. It looks so much more plain, like a CLA 250 with the AMG twin bar grill. I wish they could combine the front end of the 2017/18 with the rear of the facelift, would be the perfect combo IMO.

I agree with the front end. Though I do like the new grille compared to the old.
Specifically the lower end of the front end I dont like this year. Like you said, it looks very simple. I really liked the aggressive lower end of the 2018 CLA 45 etc. The lower end is more protruding. If they had done that with the the grille they have now ( twin blade AMG), that would have been a great combo.

nice video! 0-100kph time 4.47s (4.5s using vbox) not bad.

Thats the exact same time that automann posted for the 2017 C43 as well.
I would not even be surprised if they were discovered to be exactly the same and produce the exact same output, even though they are rated differently.
The digital dash out of the E/S-class and builtin Vbox/Dragy is pretty dope though.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer the look of the 2018. You get the HP bump with the '19, but for daily driving it's more about torque and there's not a big upgrade there. The larger screen inside is nice, but i prefer analog main gauges.

I was thinking the same. I prefer the new middle screen in the 2019 car, but like you I like the analog main gauges as well.

I could have sworn I saw a 367hp 2017 acceleration automann video but now I can only find the sound clips.
Regardless, for comparison sake:
- automann tested a 430ps glc43 to do 0-100km/h @ 4.7secs
- automann tested a stock GLC43 (367ps) to do 0-100km/h @ 4.9 secs
A GLC43 weights about 10% more than a C43 4300lbs vs 3900lbs. So for comparisons sake, lets say each 32ps = .1 sec off the 0-100
- Automann tested a 430ps C43 coupe 0-100km/h @ 4.1secs
Now I know this isnt an exact science.....but if a 430ps C43 does 0-100 in 4.1, then a stock 367ps c43 prob does it in around 4.5secs if we use the same ratios of ps / secs.
Which suggests.....the 2019 C43 makes the same power as the 2017/2018 C43s.

I know the packages in the US are different, but you don’t have to get the digital cluster in 2019. It’s part of the tech package in Canada.
