I just stuck my asr remote onto the inside of the centre console lid with some double sided tape

I rarely close the valves and it's completely hidden away.

PSA: Make sure you take off the module AT LEAST one week prior to getting a state inspection. I recently had my car inspected with the module deactivated and it failed. I removed the module and it still failed. After a week at the dealership and various techs trying to figure out why it's failing, the car finally cycled itself (takes 50-100 miles) and it was able to pass inspection.

It took over almost 2 months for me but I'm sure I was the exception because usps lost the package. If they hadn't, probably would've taken 3 weeks.

I actually bought an E53 so i have an extra module lying around now. Will ship it to you for $250 if you're interested.
