In terms of the mufflers, the stock ones sound good if you plan on keeping your stock catted dp’s in. Being a 450, the vehicle did not come with the PE version however I did modify my exhaust with an xpipe and making it a dual exhaust. I also realized the stock mufflers are stamped with AMG. (I am selling them soon) I was on a hunt to change the stock mufflers and found a set of 2015 e63s mufflers for cheap! This time I wanted to do this right with the exhaust and removed the stock 450 mufflers first and replaced them with the e63s mufflers, leaving the xpipe resonator in place. It was significantly louder but omg, it was deeper too with good notes. The v6 has an inherent note and adding these mufflers will not make our cars sound like a v8 amg. Then I requested them to remove the xpipe resonator and reinstall the non resonator xpipe and All in all, I am very happy with the exhaust. Deep louder tones and none of the raspiness and embarrassment!.
