Is there a way to manually open the trunk? What if the electronic latch broke?

Is the star badge also a manual latch?

I'm pretty sure the only way to manually open the trunk is from inside by pulling the emergency trunk release, mainly intended for a human being who got locked in the trunk. So I guess you can lower the rear seats and crawl in to reach it. Otherwise the coupe trunk can only be opened from inside the car with the switch in the door, with the remote fob or if equipped with the HANDS-FREE ACCESS (871) option by swiping/kicking your foot under the rear bumper. There's no mechanical lever or button on the trunk to open it from the outside. The star contains the rear view camera as far as I know.
