C43 Coupe Trunk release sensor issue

I find that I have to swing my foot several times in order for the truck to open, is anyone else having this issue ?

Should I bring the vehicle into the dealership, as my MB salesrep said it should open right away...

I'd take the advice of the sales person!

Where are you kicking? Have you read the manual? The sensor is located in the center and I’ve had zero issues if I swing my foot in the right spot.

I had trouble understanding this too. I was practically kicking the damn bumper. It was especially vexing when I had my hands full. But I learned that you need only swing your leg once, close to the ground in the center of the bumper as shown in he operator manual.

The leg swing also closes the trunk hands free. Practice a little and you can save a trip to the dealer. In my experience they're a clueless as we are since this a relatively ew feature.
