New Cold Air Intake From MST Performance
I was lerking on IG and noticed a new company https://www.mst-performance.com/ is making a new intake for our cars.
This intake "seems" to have solved some of the issues members on here had with the Burger sucking in hot air.
I do not know release date or price but I will keep an eye out and update this post.

I saw this on the C43 Facebook page and was intrigued, it seems to punch all the holes on the ticket so to speak i.e. no heat soak!!!!
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, as I am a huge CAI fan and always have been. I recall reading one time where Car & Driver put a CAI on a Mazda Speed 3 and gained around 60hp- not typical but there is always room for improvement with stock cars.

Looks pretty good except now you have a hot aluminum case surrounding the filter
There is a reason why most companies use rotomold, or lexan when using these types of enclosed intakes...
So it wont store the engine heat, that's like an oven for your filter lol.

This clearly was not well thought out, metal should never be used in a CAI, maybe they will switch over to rotomold, if BMS put a plastic housing around their filters like true CIA's i.e. Air Raid, AFE then it would be a no brainer. Why would you run a mid mounted open air cleaning element? Car Manufacturers have known this since the 60's with the introduction of Ram Air hood scoops, Air Grabbers and Cowl induction.
AWE had an awesome design in the works for the C43/C450 but cancelled due to lack of interest, wish they would reconsider, I know many people on here would invest in it.

Got a email back from the company.......
The release date is around the end of March to the beginning of April. Retail price is $435 USD, yet we will offer a 10% pre-order discount on this product. So after the discount, it would be $391.5 USD We are about to test this intake on dyno, any news we will update on our website, also let you know.

These dyno’s are pretty much worthless. Anyone that’s dyno’d a C43 can tell you that over 5 runs, you will get variations like this on the SAME setup. It’s very easy to pick the worst and best dyno of the day on the same setup and see variations like this, so with an intake this is -not- a sign of performance gains.
