Car stopped while backing up.
I was backing out of my driveway a moment ago and while doing so, the car like seemed to lock up. Almost as if I got caught on something. It happened a couple times before but I figured one of the sensors were wet from snow. I was able to put it in drive and move forward. Then back into reverse and backed out. Any ideas?

Was there something crossing behind you, and perhaps the Cross Traffic Alert activated and applied the brakes?

I was just backing out of my long driveway. I wasn't even near the road yet. However, midway through the driveway gets narrow as it does in between my house and a rock wall. I wonder if I was close enough to one or the other. The only time this has ever happened was backing out of my driveway.

OP, wipe up the sensors and see if it still happens -- especially after a rainy/icy day the sensors get wonky.

Did you open any doors while reversing? Not sure about the C, but on the GLC, it will lock up the brakes and yank your neck into park if you so much as even crack the door. It took an embarrassing moment at a hotel parking lot to figure out. I was trying to get super close to the curb so whoever parked next to me, would have plenty of space. Cracked the door to see the curb and thought I hit the curb. Jump out...nope, no curb! Back inside, reverse, try again...boom, auto park! Jump back out to see if that damn curb moved, nope! Scratch head, intelligence kicks in. Jump back in and revert to 360 camera(I once drove semi and can't stand using cameras).
