Side mirror covers
Earlier this year I purchased the carbon fiber side mirrors from JBSpeed for my C450. Installation went as expected with no issues. Within a couple of months, I noticed the carbon fiber was separating from the housing and sent them an email seeking to exchange the defective mirror or to see what options I had. They replied stating the company would not warranty the product but I should be able to fix it with super glue. Essentially good luck.....not exactly happy with their response. Removed the mirror and super glued the CF back to the housing. Next day I went to install and the separation moved down the seam and formed a bubble as well. The mirror now looks like crap. So buyer beware!
So now I’m looking for a new replacement and trying to figure out what direction I should go. My car came with the white covers; however, I prefer the black ones. I reached out to RW Carbon. Much butter looking product (assuming quality as well) but have a hard time paying that amount.

Does anyone have these black ones on their car? Are they overly glossy?
What route did you guys go when changing mirrors? Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Two other companies i was considering ordering from. Thanks for the warning on the quality of the JBSpeed ones. Truthfully though i could see that defect happening on any of the CF over PVC mold designs if the car is exposed to really high ambient temps and sun.
Wonder how much the ones from MB are.

Two other companies i was considering ordering from. Thanks for the warning on the quality of the JBSpeed ones. Truthfully though i could see that defect happening on any of the CF over PVC mold designs if the car is exposed to really high ambient temps and sun.

Thanks for the links! I just sent an email to Yomato asking if their mirror housings are made of pure CF or an OEM Mercedes-Benz Part, covered with CF. I will report back with any info.
The second link is identical to the mirrors I have. They have the same OEM MB housing covered in CF which I would bet would separate eventually. Wouldn’t recommend that type to anyone.

Received a reply from Yomato: “Our mirror caps are full replacement with led stripes. It's OEM parts overlay ed with carbon fiber.” Bummer
Side note, I previously purchased the Red CF ignition button. Looks great and I still get compliments to this day. Highly recommend.
