How does C43 change the intercooler?

It hasn't got an intercooler. It's got a water to air chargecooler, which is both smaller and a lot more efficient.
By design it will be harder to replace, as its located much closer to the engine block, reducing piping length and therefore reducing turbo lag.

My intercooler (of course it has an intercooler - it just means a cooler between something) was replaced due to an internal leak. It is however not an FMIC with air cooling, so you can’t just replace it with a larger one like you can with an air-to-air FMIC.
The MB garage went in from below which meant they cound do it in only 4 hours. So unless it is because you are modifying, I suggest you get MB to do it. They replaced mine and the circulation pump for the LT circuit with materials and 2 hours worth of fault finding and a readout for USD 1400.
