Hi all - i ordered a 2020 C43 in May and was told by my dealer two weeks ago that it was complete and sitting at the Port in Baltimore waiting to be released. The dealer told me yesterday this is still the case and that they have no idea when MB will "launch" the 2020s and it can then be sent to the dealership for delivery. Does anyone have any insight into when this can be expected or if they have already in fact been launched ? Thanks a ton - excited to join the family !
I did see few owners posting about picking up their new 2020 non-AMG C-Class vehicles starting roughly a month ago. The AMG models are probably a month or two behind those I would expect.
I ordered a 2020 C43 sedan in mid July...production date was set for 25 September, and now pushed to 1 November due to "capacity issues" per my dealer's MB rep. My concern is that as November gets closer this could happen again. If it does, not sure I'll stay the course as this is needed for my daily driver. I sold my '16 Audi S4 which I adored, but not crazy about the latest interiors...hate the diamond stitching quilt-like seating, digital dash and yacht-like shifter. Anyone else having current delays? Relentless nation-wide searches of new inventory for the past few months have failed to produce something I'd accept...hate the PANO roof thing, alcantara anything, blah, blah, blah.

I also ordered my 2020 C43 sedan in May. I believe all C43s are built in Alabama so I'm not sure why yours is at a port in Baltimore. I was told mine is at with the shipper (VPC) in Alabama waiting to be released. I was told the factory plans on releasing them in mid-November, although there could be some variability in that date.

Only the sedans are built in Alabama. The coupes/cabs are built in Germany. He probably ordered a coupe. The coupes will sit at the VPCs of the respective ports where they were unloaded until they get released. Some of them may even be held in Germany before shipping them out.

June, was the period of change from MY2019 to 2020.
I ordered a C43 Sedan in November 2018. It seems that during 2018 and begining of 2019 with the C class restyling has been delays and capacity issues, that now seems to be resolved and it was given production date in April.
As June was the Model year shift, my car was assigned production in September, with all MY2020 (East London factory). recently we discovered with the dealer that Mercedes applied changes in the order and several options are gone. As they cannot retrofit the ones I am interested for, we ordered a new one on Friday. Production date Jan and delivery March.
Right now in East London they have allocations 2-3 months, and then delivery in EU it's about 2 month after production.
I ordered a 2020 C43 almost two weeks ago, and have not received any information or tracking number or PO. I see the deposit charged and a credit check was done. What information do you usually get from the dealer after placing an order? I'm the very anxious type that will keep checking on the order until the day it's delivered, so it's killing me that I have no clue what is going on
Hey guys just wanted to let you guys know about my order. I ordered my car (2020 c43 coupe) back in the beginning of July in Vancouver. I just received a call today from the SA that my car has arrived and is ready for pick up this thursday.
Has been released and is on the way to dealer finally.
Mfg on July 29; at port for 2 months!

Have ordered many M-B's with only a draft of the new MY specs.
This order was placed in March,19 with a handshake on net cost with trade in of the 2013 M-B S class.
Updates included acceptance of and build confirmation, approval prior to making any last minute changes, VIN assignment, shipping notification and route tracking of container to port.

My dealer called me this morning and said mbusa released the 2020's today and my coupe hit the port and was being unloaded at the vpc. It shouldn't be long now until it arrives at the dealership for pick up.
Looks like the status on my C43 Sedan is now "Released to carrier". So, hopefully any day now.
Great news. On Monday, mine was 'dealer invoiced', so hopefully 'released to carrier' is the next milestone. Atlanta built car and I'm in Virginia....still a crazy long time to wait (ordered in mid-July).

My 2020 S-560 4 Matic arrived at dealer in Oct and finally released by MB for customer delivery on Oct 23: remember pre-ordered in March, mfg July 29, docked in Baltimore for 2 months.
But, we left NY for FL on Oct 19!
Will pick up in Jan.

Woohoo! My 2020 C43 sedan is at the dealer getting prepped for delivery. Picking it up Saturday morning. Here are a couple pics as soon as it came off the truck this morning. I'll post better pics after we take delivery.
Ordered mid-July and arrived 12 November...quick photo of her at the dealership. I took it home with a PDI only - did all the unwrapping and initial wash myself. With 234 miles, I just put a winter tire/wheel set on.
