I am running JB4 now but shifts are still relatively slow. Are there any options that speed up shift response?

BMW Doubleclutch doesnt shift faster than the C43. The only Car i've driven with a faster shift are Porsches PDKs and the R8 Gearbox.

Speaking of C400 and the 2020 M340 absolutely shifts ages faster than the C400

I dont think the usual buyer of a C400 would mind that, he has all the time in the world since he already retired from his job.

Be nice to have at least a constructive answer in here. The car in question is a C400 and is there a trans tune available? Going to wager a guess and say no otherwise it wouldve already been mentioned.

Your wager is 100% correct. No trans tune available. "Search this forum" is your friend.

Can only try search this forum so many times before asking the question resolves the quickest answer.

The 7G is kind of a slug. My GLC is just as quick as my C450 and may actually be a little quicker even though it's heavier. There's no difference in motor output, it's just the 9G vs 7G tranny.

Pretty surprising to me that none of these tuning companies are offering at least a flash/tune to increase the shift speed.

I think most of the ECU tuners are tweeking shift points now. The usual supsects are Eurocharged, AMR, RenTech, and a handful of other. You can't swing a dead cat in here without hitting a thread about one of them. Do a little research and then give one of them a call.

Im sure the idea has crossed all of their minds but theres a few reasons it might not have been done:

1. "TCU Tune" is not as marketable as +100bhp
2. If the point of modding is raw speed, then perhaps it is still easier to squeeze more HP out of the engine than it is to engineer a new TCU software
3. Developing TCU software could be more difficult and has to be pioneered. It might be harder to achieve than adding a larger turbo or upping the boost
4. The gains to be had from tuning the 9G might not be worth the effort and the speed not worth the price

Could be any combination of those.
