C43 wheel replacement

At about 9500 miles I was told by the dealer that the front 2 wheels are completely gone. The back 2 tires are practically new. Anyone else had the same issue? Dealer refuses to change the tires. They suggested that I replace those ties every 8000 miles from my own pocket. What are my options? Called customer service too who said we will go with what the dealer is saying.

Honestly the lease on my c43 is up in Nov and I don't think I'll be coming back to benz ever again. 8000 miles lifespan on wheels is the biggest bull**** I've heard. This just adds on to the many other things I am already complaining about benz ownership.

Mercedes is garbage or the tires are???!! I can't decide.
So since I have to replace from my own pocket ~$750, what tires can I get that will last longer?

I heard these exact same complaints from Lexus owners on the Lexus forums when I had my IS350. IS350 owners were replacing their tires after 7,000 miles and complaining about uneven tire wear. I never had that problem. My tires certainly wore faster than I expected, but I replaced them with better tires (when it was time) and didn't have any further wear concerns.

Can anyone recommend tires for c43 since mine need replacement? If the original tires are garbage, I would want to avoid getting those again.

Look for tires with a higher tread wear rating. I bought Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ and they are lasting twice as long as the ****ty Pirelli tires benz gives from the factory. If it makes you feel any better I had to replace both front tires at about 7,000 miles...

Would changing just the front 2 be enough considering the back two are original and a different brand? Would it cause unsmooth drive? I am avoiding changing all 4 but I also don't want unsmooth and potentially unsafe drive. Good to mention here is that I am a woman and have No clue!

I have a 2017 that came with the 18 " rims and still have the stock run flat all season michelin contis on. I have 45 000kms and still going strong. I will be replacing them this spring. I previously had a c400 that came with the 19" rims and summer performance tires which lasted like you around 7000 kms. Personally I would not run different brands with traction letting go at different points. Recipe for disaster.
As someone suggested earlier most folks go with the michelon pilot sport 3 all seasoms non run flat they run smoother and should last longer.
Good luck in whatever you decide but ditch the run flat tires too expensive and wear quickly.Just carry a can of tire sealant and you are golden.

I would change all 4. Just look at it as a safety investment. Remember, that small contact patch of rubber is the only thing connecting your car to the road. If you decide to change all 4, go with regular non run flat tires. A couple of tires that have a high treadwear would be Continental DWS 06, Michelin pilot A/S 3+. I’d also suggest to look for a reputable tire and alignment shop in your area. Once you’ve replaced the tires have them do an alignment. Nothing worse than brand new tires gone in a couple of weeks due to bad alignment. It’s also a good idea to keep a portable air compressor in the trunk. I think Costco or Walmart even sells a small kit. If you’re not mechanically inclined, it’s ok. You can always call roadside assistance if you unfortunately get a flat. My daughter drives a c300 coupe, and we replaced her wheels and tires because she wanted different rims and non runflat tires. We shelved the original set for when her lease is up. Mercedes want those back anyways.
Recently, she got a flat... 0 pressure. She has a kit in her car but didn’t wanna deal with it, so she just called roadside assistance and they took the car to the closest dealer to have it repaired. In a couple of hours, she was on her way.

your car was probably suffering from the crabbing issue affecting several 4matic Mercedes models, especially the GLC and C43 .
the extra resistance form the front diff the harder RF tyre compound and different steering geometry is the cause of this.
mine was crabbing on full lock when parking and I got Mercedea to change to tyres under warranty after 4500 miles.
the Conti SSRs do not crab at all whilst the P Zero RFs were terrible.
My mums GLC Coupe destroyed the fronts before 10K, and Mercedes changed some bolts in the suspension/ or track rod ends I think and the crabbing disappeared.

Installing these Michelins was the first thing I did after taking delivery about a year ago. I just had my car in for it's first service and after 11k miles my tires are still in great shape...I guess I must drive like an old man!

I have the Michelin AS3+ on mine and have gotten 25,000 miles out of them and they still have plenty of life left. It's the RF tires that are so horrible.

c43 Crabbing

Recently purchased 2 brand new C43 2017 model mercs and both have the same problem which is crabbing. Both cars needed the front two tyres replaced after just 10000 km Mercedes have suggested to me that its normal but that is no true.
I have taken the car to Bob Jane Ringwwood where they have replaced the tyres but more importantly we have wheel aligned the cars on a different angle and the car does not crab any more.

Mercedes is useless and have no idea of the problem or they are not talking.
