Will a C43 PE Exhaust from 2018 Coupe fit my 2018 Saloon?
Hey guys! i hope you’re all well. Just a quick question.
I have a 2018 C43 saloon with standard sport exhaust and have found a someone selling a PE exhaust from a breaking 2018 C43 Coupe.
I wanted to know will that PE exhaust from the coupe fit my saloon?

The mufflers have a different part number, but it doesn’t mean they cannot be made to fit. It is most likely that the mufflers for one model are longer than the other.
I can only confirm the center is the same.

Thank you!! Do you think it will make a big difference in sound if I fit the PE exhaust as I do not have the valve open/close button on my C43

However, you can turn them opened or closed by hand with the motors off, so it’s up to you.
I got my rear mufflers used and fit them on my 4 door, and to be honest I do not know if they are from a Coupe or Sedan. Could be coupe as they were a little short, but they fit.
That being said, if you look at all the aftermarket exhaust for C43, there is no distinction between Coupe and Sedan, so I think all fit.

The motors have been taken off, you will see what I mean when you have it in hand, just turn the valves by hand.

you mentioned the motors have been taken off, is that a bad thing or is that the motor to open and close the valves via the button?

if I take it to an exhaust garage do you think they can make the bracket/hanger for the centre section and each muffler?

Valves open all the time have a look at my video.
You dont need the motors as you have no way to control them. I can almost bet the valves are open already

Yes the motors operate the valves. Without the motors the "PE" function would likely be stuck in whatever position the valves are in (probably open). Without resonators it would sound like a straight pipe.
If you wanted to straight pipe you can just remove the resonators and muffler yourself and save 1k.

there are 2 versions of the PE exhaust. the one you see in the ebay pic from the uk is from a late model 2019+ with the manditory OPF section.(Otto Particulate filter). those are those 2 oval things you see towards the back of the H-pipe close to where the cats are..
the other and original version is the one with the box/ suitcase resonator as pictured above as well.
the OPF version has a 5-10% different sound to it because of the OPF constraints .
a OPF delete will net you a deeper tone according to some folks that have done it.
