Fan kicks on and off even when car hasn’t been runnint
So I come out to the car the other day and my battery is totally dead. I get a new battery and put it in and notice my coolant fan kicks on and off even when the car hasn’t been running and it won’t stop
i don’t know if that problem was there before and this is what killed battery

but I do know I’m getting water on my driver side carpet when it rains. I don’t know if this is related in anyway.

but my car has been at a shop. Not a Benz dealer but he’s got me at 4 hrs labor already and has said he can’t figure it out. I’m going to be picking up the car tomorrow cause I don’t trust this shops capabilities now.

Does anyone have any clue at all what could be wrong

and how confident are you that that’s the problem?

why wouldn’t a auto shop tech be able to decipher that you think? 4 hours and he tells me he has no clue

Has your windshield ever been replaced? Check out Doug Demuro talking about almost the same issue on his E63 wagon. He talks about it at around the 8:38 mark.

a very reputable auto shop that’s why I’m shocked. But now I’m being told to go to this one import place that specializes in mercedes Bmw and Audi. And he guarantees he’ll find problem.
so I’m going to tell him if he guarantees it that if he doesn’t find problem I should have to pay

i find it BS I have to pay this guy tomorrow for 4 hours and he didn’t find the problem

also I can’t seem to find a part number for the fan module or ones for sale at all
