Whiny Noise - Ventilated Seats
Just picked up my C43 today! Will make sure to post appropriate pics etc soon.... but before all that... i think i have an issue with the car already.....
There is a weird high pitch whiny noise when I click on the ventilated seats, its comes on and off, at first i thought it was coming from the speakers.... no sound at all if i shut it off..... anyone run into this issue before or is this normal?? thanks!!!

That sounds like the fan in the seat to me. A bit loud, though. I can hear the fan turn on/off and vary the speed in the back of my seat, but it doesn't sound like this. It's higher pitched, but I have the ventilated AMG performance seats. Which seats do you have?

i have just the leather seats, not the buckets. it comes on and off so i think its definitely an issue. i first thought there was something wrong with the speakers... hoping it goes away on its own? maybe they wiped it down prior to delivery and they sprayed it down.... wishful thinking tho...

the sound does not occur when using heated seats tho... wondering if it is directly related to the ventilated button itself... maybe its whats lighting the button blue? or whatever else thats connected to it..

So, upon listening to it again, I don't think I hear what you hear. When the video starts I can hear what clearly sounds like a fan. Then when you press the ventilation button, the fan turns off and spins down. I can hear the motor spin down. Then I hear nothing when you turn the ventilation down further and even when you turn it back on. Maybe it's not coming through, or it's my middle aged hearing. After turning up the volume, I do hear a buzzing in addition to the fan noise for the first half of the video until you press the ventilation button for the first time. Is that what you are referring to?

so during the last few seconds when i click on the button it does not come back on, so not captured in the video but the sound comes and goes. And all the sound in the video directly comes from the door and not from the seat. it's literally coming from the door/speaker/button area....
