Talking Getting a 2017 coupe!!!!!

About 2 weeks ago i picked up a 2017 white c300 coupe CPO from a MB dealer that my dads a VIP customer at. Gave me a great price on it and everything. Not even a week later, check engine light, the ECM needed a software update, no problem. Took it back to them and they just rolled in a 2017 all black with AMG night package c43. Sticker price of 45k offered it to take my car back and give me the c43 for 37k, just 6k more than what I got my c300 for. Mind you my c300 only had premium 1 pack and AMG styling so no big screen, no native navi, no ambient lighting or anything. Of course I said yes and shall be picking her up on Saturday

Congrats mate. I went from a C250 wagon to C43 Coupe. Although the C43 is hopelesly impractical, it is immense fun and I always get out smiling. It gets so many looks and positive comments as well, except when I'm stood in the hardware store trying to work out how to get a plank of wood in the damn thing. Enjoy it mate, it's a great car.

I mean no one should be getting a coupe (regardless of brand) for practicality reasons.

Practicality is obviously relative, otherwise every coupe or two-seater would rot on the lot.

So what makes specifically the C43 Coupe hopelessly impractical??

Personally I think the C coupe is very practical. The back seats have ample space, the trunk is HUGE. Even bigger than some sedans had. If i wanted to lug planks of wood id get a jeep gladiator or something lol

Honestly, if you need something like a truck to carry stuff around, then a sedan or coupe would both be an impractical choice. The coupe is only impractical compared to a sedan if you are carrying 4-5 people on a regular basis and the people in the back seats are actually tall. Otherwise, there's really no difference with a sedan or a coupe.

Don't knock it til you try it! I've hauled everything from lumber and plywood, to 20 bags of mulch in my sedan! Hell, I even drove eight 8' 2x4s , plus a sheet of plywood ripped in half home when I had my FR-S! Gladiator, schmlatiator...

I’m in the market for a 2017 c43 coupe or a 2018 CLA45 with Race Package.

I like both for different reasons, the wide-body kit for c43 is a must to make it more masculine.

eh just extra money for a widebody kit. I do like the new CLA45s though...definitely would consider trading in my c43 for it in 2-3 years when that sweet depreciation hits and they go for 40k or less

Im super salty, I’ve been scouring the internet and local dealerships for a c43. Found one with only 7k miles certified pre-owned and it was sold the day before I found it.

I’ve driven a plethora of Benz over the last 3yrs because of an insurance claim on my w2o4. The MBUX system is way better than command system pre-2020 but the price-point of a new vehicle is too high for me and it’s a struggle to find a c43 coupe.

oh yea...the MBUX new system is super nice but I'm not going to pay 30k more for it essentially by getting a 2020 with the way Benz's drop in price. I'll get a 2020 CLA45 in 2022 or 2023 for ~40k and I do not see my c43 dipping below too much more in value from the 37k I got it at. Plus this dealer will give me the best value for my car.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about the infotainment too much. It will be nice for the 1st month, maybe 2 months, as you are messing with all the settings and admiring it. After that, it's mostly going to be about the drive for you anyhow.
