@TWINTURBOS octane booster works it’s just expensive and unnecessary plus it can leave the orange coating/residue from the mmt in the octane boosters, if you need to use id say use like Lucas or something that’s safe w your catalytic converters unless your going stage 2 but even then I’ve seen idiots use octane booster w lead substitute in vehicles not meant for it (only for off roading) and have damaged their catalytic converters

however with that being all said on 97 octane I think I made 30-33 whp more then 94 so basically 30 points up from 94, when I dyno it last time w higher octane fuel but higher then that I’m not sure of numbers but I’ve noticed the higher the octane the better the car shifts, the faster it shifts and the turbo is very very responsive and feels very on point compared to the 94 lol but if your stock You’ll only be able to utilize 93/94 at most even then the maximum potential out of the air to fuel ratio won’t be matched without the proper tuning, High octane and a solid intake or good air filters

Thanks man, this is some great info! Looking forward to trying some higher octane now. I have the upgraded re usable air filters as well as upgraded thicker spark plugs so lets see how it goes. I'll post some updated times when I go stage 2 plus 98-100 octane hopefully by next weekend. Should be fun! Let us know your times too when you finish with your mods.

If you can diy, CT/walmart have 0w-40 euro mobil1 on sale regularly for under $30. I picked up too many and been doing oil changes every 6 months. Oil comes out black and butt dyno feels good and smoother after.

Also from gta, we should start new thread for torontonians

That'sa good price, but I'm in a Condo so have never done it myself. Wonder how many people are in the gta? There's not much movement on this subforum so it would be interesting to know.

Good to know bro. I have downpipes scheduled for the coming week to make stage 2. Not planning to use octane boosters frequently, just once a while. Hope it doesn't damage anything.

Toronto here, and I think there are a fair number of us Canucks on this forum, actually. I see a lot of km references, combined with Canadian spellings (which is sort of a hybrid of UK/US).

BTW, I’m also in a condo & would 100% do a lot more DIY on my cars if I had a house with a garage. Sigh.

Hi, so with catless downpipe there would be no problem using octane booster? Am I right?
