Is it me or has the mercedes connect app been down for 2 days?

It's the wimpiest excuse for a connected car app I've see, I think they're running it on a 286 computer with a dial up internet connection. Down for maint is total BS in today's world, you run a parallel system and do any maint in the middle of Sat night and the switch over is milli-seconds not days. Oh well at least I love the C43.

Same here. The portal and the app are showing the generic graphics again. They are doing some big maintenance on the private lounge since this weekend. It was posted over there. Both the PL and Mercedes Me Connect use the new Mercedes ID for login, so I'm guessing it's somehow related to the upgrade. Hoping the personal car graphic will come back once they are done. I kinda miss it now.

It's mainly a redesign and new UX, but supposedly it receives much more frequent updates as well. The functionality is largely the same and depends on the car. I'm hoping I'll be able to share destinations from other apps to the car again, as this feature got dropped from the current app and hasn't been restored yet. Below is a fairly detailed walkthrough from a guy in the UK.

I'm still seeing the generic one, but yes, it showed one with a bright background during the day and dark one at night. They might be in the process of fixing it. I was trying to clear the cache and login fresh to see if the pic would refresh, but it was having connection problems.

Did some digging in the HTML for the portal, and it appears the personal car graphic comes from the online configurator and it falls back to a generic graphic if that fails. I tried the configurator URL directly and I get an error, so looks like the configurator is not working properly at the moment, causing the generic graphics to come up.

Do you think MB will bring trip journals to North American Mercedes Me compatible cars? (Like including Canada?)
Like for Volvo (I saw on my friend's phone), it records how much time was spent going from point A to point B, fuel consumption, distance, a map of the whole route, at what date and time was the drive, etc.

That would be a cool feature, but I haven't seen anything like that mentioned. Who knows what they have planned for the future, though. I forgot where I read this, but one of the goals with the new app is more frequent updates with new features to keep the app interesting.
