Just not quick enough

I have had my c450 for a few months and am new to Mercedes. I did some cosmetic mods and have the jb4 running on map 2 and the jb4 intakes. I’ve noticed a little bit of power gain from the butt dyno but the car still just isn’t quick enough for my liking. What mods have you guys done that really made a difference? From everything I read there is no feedback on the pure or weisstec turbo upgrades. Was thinking downpipes but afraid the gains will be minimal and the $800 price point is crazy compared to the sub $300 for bmw downpipes.

any input from people who know much more than me would be lovely, I’ve been reading these forums for a long time but only recently made an account

What car are you coming from? The C450 lacks aftermarket support and tuning options are pretty limited. With that being said it's still a relatively quick car and looks good doing it. Perhaps you should have gotten a C63.. .

i came from an f30. I guess the extra almost 500lbs makes a difference, and you’re totally right about the aftermarket support, it’s awful. I wish I could have afforded the c63 but it’s out of my budget for now.

I agree with this. The C450 has a little less boost than the newer C43's do. Map 2 is a good starting point for them, i think the map 5 or map 7 is a better starting point for the C400/450. Assuming you have at least 93 fuel, and possibly some E85 if your weather isnt great.
Should be able to run high 11s all day with a good map 6, intake + DP setup.
