Both the non-S and S C63 variants were at 1.02+ g on the roadholding course. If I would've gone for another 63, I would've done the non-S model.
I see. Make sense, there is a huge premium for the S model. I guess people is like since they are paying so much, might as well pay more to get the absolute best of the C-class lineup.

And we know how a certain subset of the W205 C63 crowd loves their badging, whether it be an S on the back of the trunk or someone’s name on the engine cover

Now that you mention it, is there not an easy way to tell both cars apart by just the exterior look? (Other than wheels and calipers)
I guess it is cheaper to get the package than retrofitting all the engine mounts, modding the diff, etc.?

I was making a joke about that one thread from last week. Calipers are the easiest way to distinguish. In addition to being painted silver/gray, the front calipers have a slightly different shape compared to the S model. But you've gotta be a brake hardware aficionado to see that.

The only noticeable difference between the models, from a daily driving perspective, is the S model's power advantage. All that other stuff is kind of superfluous, IMO.

Oh ya that thread, now I remember and interesting differences you noted, I didn't know the shapes of the calipers are actually different.

By the way, random curious question, do you want to go the lease transfer route if the C63 206 happens to be something you like? That way you could end the contract and get into a new car faster.
Although 206 C63 is first model year so I wouldn't recommend it.
