I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I am picking up my new c43amg tomorrow. I am sure that this issue has been beaten to death but I couldn’t find it when I used the search function. Is there any way to mount a front plate that does not require drilling into the front fascia or mounting it to the tow hook. Thanks.

the plate i got from my dealership works perfect for me without having to drill holes. snaps right into the lower front grill and just hangs on the front splitter which i added tape to to avoid any scratches from it moving around.

Don't bother. Looks better without. I know it's a law, I'm out in So Cal and hasn't been an issue and haven't had it on in over a year .

totally agree it looks way better without, however I live on a military base so it’s an everyday occurrence and not worth the hassle

Zip tie it to lower grill instead of the tape. It's gonna fly soon

i would but theres no way to zip tie, just has the clips the insert into the lower grill then i just taped it to the front splitter. ive driven almost 1000 miles and its still on there pretty sturdy. i guess i could re enforce the existing clip inserts with zipties

Agreed. Plus there is not plate to disrupt air flow to the radiator.
