Dealings with Mercedes corporate. Lemon law

I have a 19 amg C43 that went in for service for the third time for the same issue.
has anyone had dealings with this situation?
does Mercedes help to get us replacement car or is it all the dealer and court system?
thanks

If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, and if you’re willing to replace the outgoing car with another Mercedes, then MBUSA and your dealer will work with you.

Especially if you have the leverage of a car that would qualify under the lemon law in your state.

My best advice is: 1) Be organized with your documentation (# of business days in shop, is the issue serious?, etc.); 2) Be polite, but firm; 3) Be persistent; 4) Make it clear you’d love to stay in the brand, so long as you can have a car that is not constantly in the shop for the same issue.

If you have a history of previous ownership, that’ll help. Just the way it is, unfortunately.

I am sorry that you having issues with the car. Do you mind sharing with us what it may be and see if we can suggest something while you fill out the request on the buy back?
You sharing the issue may also help other members on this forum as well.

I haven't personally gone through a buyback, but I would encourage you to figure out first if it's worth it. What is the issue that it has been in for multiple times? Is it so severe that it is worth going through the hassle of getting a new car, especially in the current market with inventory tight and productions on hold due to the ongoing global semiconductor shortage. Depending on your state and how you paid for the car, you may not get back the sales tax. Something to keep in mind. My '19 C63S Coupe was in four times total if I remember correctly, each time for several days to weeks because the side skirts did not stay on. Even though by the fourth time it probably would have qualified for the lemon law, this was not something to be worth returning the car for as it's otherwise an awesome machine. Eventually, AMG came out with revised parts and the issue got fixed. So depending on the nature of the issue it may not be worth going through it all.

Sorry buddy, the video didn't play at all for me. Is it just me or is the file corrupted? Perhaps it is just me, do you mind uploading it to youtube?

It was just me, the video is working again.
Are we looking at the dampened headliner where the airbag is?

Yes.
the dealership seemed to think they fixed the problem the 2nd time I brought it in.
i hope they find the problem.
I really like my car. But can’t live with this issue.

My recommendation is to read a few articles on how to trigger and document a lemon law claim, and adhere to same to the best of your ability. If you do it correctly, and if the car is not eventually fixed, an attorney is usually not necessary (family member working for corporate lemon division at a car manufacturer that will remain nameless, and my firm has handled such claims when an attorney is needed). Good luck.

I see I wonder if there are more than one drains in our cars, perhaps they miss a spot?
Hopefully this time it really fixed it for you though!

I would hope their master mechanics would know the workings of the cars.

Is your car a sedan or coupe? Just looking for a pattern to see if it is from a particular MB factory. Built in Germany, U.S. or South Africa?
