Not a fan personally. But, it isn't my ride. If you're happy, that's what counts!

What wheels did you decide on?

Finally received my Vorsteiner wheels. They are 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 I'm going with Michelin PS4S tires. Which size should I run to clear. 225 or 235/40 up front and 245 or 255/35 for rear?

Test fit. Can someone try to explain why my 19 × 9.5 is exactly 1lb lighter than my 19x8.5???

It’s probably because your fronts have more center hub than the rears. That’s usually the case for staggered setups and offset for this car.

@Herrerrera that sir is not only a sweet looking beast you have there but I very much love you wheel choice. MANY people F that up and choose something stupid, gaudy and or completely mismatched to the car. You have really chosen a great set of wheels, well done and...could you please send them to me, I'll PM you my details lol he he he. Would'nt fit my GLC63s though, but DAMN I would give a solid try!

Looking good, I just ordered a set of wheels for my CLS. Really excited for the weight savings - that means a little bit better acceleration and mpg.

Let us know the weight when the tires are on the new wheels as well.

oh I see. But even the 245/40 were 1 lb heavier than the 225/45. So like the pic above shows the rears were exactly 2 pounds lighter. Craziness..

Man I was a little bummed about this. I expected to lose about 3 Pounds per tire/wheel I never could find what my stock Mercedes wheel weight was. But they must have been right around 25lbs. And since I went from a 225/45/18F 225/40/18R to a 235/40/19F 265/35/19R front tires are now 2lbs lighter. And rears are 1lb lighter.

I'm hoping to save more on the CLS but either way, no weight gain is a plus

c
looking good. Just because I thought it was interesting, pasting this from wheel fitment thread

My aftermarket front wheels and tires weighed in at 42.9 lbs and the OEM weigh 54 lbs. A huge savings on each corner. This is going from OEM 18x7.5 w/ 225/40/18 to 19x8 w/ 235/40/19. Not only a wider wheel but a taller tire.

I have the 2019 style 18 inch wheels (which have that, sort of, aero disc around the perimeter). I did not weigh my rears

He said Vorsteiner earlier so I figured maybe I'm not seeing something right lol
I just purchased some Stance SF10's in Bronze for my CLS. Very excited. Also was expecting to save roughly 10lbs/wheel as mentioned above but we'll see.

No worries, yeah I tried to go for something a little different with the spoke design so we'll see how it turns out. I've got to make my build thread in the C218 section soon, but I've got a good chunk on YouTube as well.
