Can’t wait to see the installs and feedback on these…looks like a beautiful product.

I too am awaiting that and my intake. Will post Draggy results with JB4 before after.
Is a template supplied for trimming of the engine cover if one chooses to go that route?

The harnesses we were waiting on were sent in two batches, the first batch of intakes with those harnesses have gone out and the second batch will begin shipping this week. Thank you for your patience, we really hate to make you all wait.

I have personally tested this intake on my C43 and its currently installed on it now. Other members have also tested and installed it and I am sure by this point ModalWorks has sold plenty and if this was such a big issue there would have been tons saying it doesn't fit which that is not the case. Yes the tolerance is tight. it is as big of an intake that you can fit on this car.
The C400 has plenty of differences from the 450 and 43 and I am wondering if some of the trim or pieces on the engine may be different from our cars. For example, wheels that fit the c400, do not fit the 450/43. The c400 is more like a c300 in a lot of ways underneath from a parts perspective and it may be possible that is why this guy is having issues.
I don't think anyone should jump to conclusions considering these are all brand new accounts on the forum bashing on this intake and I'd be skeptical. The guy making the youtube video creates a brand new forum account and brand new youtube account and his first video just to smack this intake? Posts on a Sunday. Why not just call the company and sort it out Monday? I am sure Modalworks stands behind the product and if this is an issue limited to the c400s, I am sure ModalWorks would refund the guy and take the intake back. But he then goes on to chop up plastic pieces on engine and still cant get it to fit? Just doesn't add up. Just call modalworks and sort this out.
This intake has been working great for tons of people my guess is this is potentially a c400 issue that can be sorted out and I am sure ModalWorks can make a way to make it work on the c400 if that is what the problem is.

No cold air intake increases power, it just increases the ability to create power from engine tune timing and more boost

The fact that the first thing you come up with is to call into question the legitimacy of my account, posts, and videos says a lot more about your character than mine, and that's really disappointing. I was hoping Martin Tuning was going to be where I sourced my HPFP solution from, but I'll be looking elsewhere.
One more thing here, just to clear up a technicality, the vid about the intake wasn't the first vid on my channel. I posted two vids of me drag racing my car before I even had the intake in hand.

I did just get off the phone with Modalworks, they have offered to let me take the car to a partner mechanic to see if they can fit it for no extra cost, which I admit is very admirable. I'm waiting on them to text me the info of the shop.
If that doesn't work out they did offer to send me a return shipping label and a full refund.

I am not being backed by the intake company. I paid full presale price just like everyone else. Sure the engine cover will be thrown in for free to me for all the fitment work I did but this intake is the solution this car needed. I have probably had my c43 longer than anyone on the forum considering I have one of the very first builds (built end of 2016) as a 2017 model year. I know what this car needs. I have contributed plenty of information to the forum. I dont have a horse in this race other than to help get the best products for this car on the market!

- So you have a personal sample size of one? I guess that makes it statistically impossible for me to have a defective unit.
- I have bigger issues than fitment, based on my unit there may issues with the design and material finish and quality.
- As you say C400s have almost as many differences with C43/450s as they do similarities. So why wasn't this kit test fit on an actual C400 before it was marketed and sold as such (Modalworks just posted it was only test fit on C43s)?
- So because I'm new I don't get a say? Is my $1400 worth less because I have a low post count. Honestly I was SUPER pumped to get this intake in and was planning on posting before and after drag runs with and without a tune and get some more data out about the intake, which might have generated even more demand for your product.

Well, to be honest I posted on a Sunday because I was so frustrated. I had been trying to get the intake to fit since Friday evening (first attempt at the track went terribly). I had also just received the wrong JB4 from BMS so I was just plain mad. And I'm not saying EVERYTHING was Modalworks' fault, but I made the video and post after 3 days of frustration.

Not anyone that I'm aware of.....the c43 seemed to be the test mule, so things "should' work, but not sure if we yet have concrete answers yet about the GLC43 platform. Measurements should be close, but how close is the question. I'm sure ModalWorks can give clearity to the question.

Already reached out to Martin tuning @Star4life excited and looking to add this to my build as well.
Great question; and to “bump” the same:
For those of you who have added this does anyone have a template for trimming the cover?
I am sure it isn’t an issue but just in case- has anyone had any issues with space with the fully enclosed kit and the front strut bar?
Currently have the Ultraracing full package version.
Thanks in advance!
