C450 AMG STOP PRODUCING POPS/CRACKLES AFTER A MONTH OF SITTING
hey so i just got my 2016 c450 amg back after a month of it being in body shop because someone lightly t bone me. i got it back, and filled up at ExxxonMobil full tank on 91. it has not been popping or burbling no matter what. the car was just sitting, for the most time. before this, it popped and burbled ar 2nd gear @ 50mph on s+ but now it doesn’t make a single noise. can anyone help me? others have been telling me it needs to be driven to get back into the flow, others have told me maybe the gas, others have told me to give it a bit and it’ll come back but not sure.

Hmmm, sounds exactly like what OP in this thread is facing in terms of losing crackles and pops:

If you have the ability to go WOT on the freeway/highway (in mexico of course) and can do it safely, floor it. Sometimes it helps to clean any build up out. If you can fill up to with 93 Oct also, if it's in your area try that next. Check your air filter also. You said it was in a body shop for a hot minute. Do you know if they hooked it up to a computer for anything?

93 is perfectly fine to run. You can even run a blend of 30% E85 also. (It's in the owners manual) You'll likely not notice to much of a difference in your butt dyno with 91 vs 93 though but you might "feel" something. I would also check out Eurocharged for a tune to really liven things up. You'll still be able to use 91 or 93. Mine did a 0-60 3.74 sec and 1/4 mile at 11.81 @ 118. Just the tune and drop in filters. Plenty of go for a DD.
As far as the cord, I'm not sure what that would go to. Just check around the area to see if something is missing something or if there are any "witness" marks on it.

I understand but the reason why I mentioned is because I thought there was the possibility of an update due to regulations that changed it. That being said, such updates cannot happen over the air and has to be performed with Xentry and through updates to either the TCU or the ECU.

i filled up v-power the other day, nothing changed haha. i'm not gonna fill that gas in just yet until i figure out this problem, i'm content with my pops and burbles i have going on right now, just wanna make it louder. was told to remove my cats, muffler, and resonator or just my cats but it's not something you do to these kind of cars, ya know? i'm assuming if my battery was disconnected, it caused the ecu to be reset.

Any chance that you scanned the vehicle for codes? Apparently it can be caused by things as simple as this:
