Cracked wheels
I had my car in for service and the dealer told me three of my Amg wheels were cracked and not safe to drive on. They asked if I’d been in any accidents and I have never. Has anyone else had this experience? The ride quality is still perfect and I hadn’t felt any difference.

Run, do not walk...when a pothole is a $1200 day, there's something wrong, besides the pothole. When the wheel cracks, you'll have a slow leak in most cases.
There are threads and threads about this. I ordered with 18 inch wheels. My OE wheels are now replaced with 18 inch BBS, 30 front and 45 rear offset, TUV approved to boot, look good, no spacers nonsense. Tires are Conti DWS06 in a 235/45 size, I went up one front and down one rear. Others work to put bigger wheels on the car, but I just wanted to cross the NYC metro area without crying.
I am convinced the hard runflats and soft wheels are how Mercedes pays for the F1 team. Why a ballet dancer is forced to perform in steel toe work shoes is beyond me. Three wheels at Benz pricing will pay for new wheels and non runflats...
Such a well designed and engineered car, to a high price point. The mystery of the iron runflats and taffy wheels continues.

Thanks for the info, glad I'm not the only one but hopefully they can make it better in the future. Here in Chicago you need to be Neo from the Matrix to dodge all the potholes successfully.

I have set of OEM C43 stock rims with wheels, sensors and caps on it. DM me if you are interested in. They were only used for 1K miles when I bought my car brand new and then I changed them to a different AMG model rims.
