C43 Custom Stock Airbox Turbo Intake Tube?
This brought me to the thought of just upgrading the turbo inlet hose that comes off the stock airbox down to the turbo and upgrading the drop-in filters with something like K&Ns. I can't find any turbo inlet upgrade kits for our cars. I don't think anyone makes them.
Has anyone found any? Now, I could also make my own. Buying 2 90 degree silicone hoses and cutting them probably isn't a big deal, the only problem I see is, that I need a flange/adapter off of the turbo to attach a custom silicon tube. There's 2 companies that created this flange for their intakes, MST in their V2 kit, and CTS:
MST: https://mst-performanceusa.com/collections/mercedes-benz/products/mercedes-benz-c400-c450-c43amg-glc43-intake-upgrade-kit-v1-to-v2
CTS: https://www.ctsturbo.com/product/cts-turbo-mercedes-benz-c400-c450-c43-amg-m276-w205-intake-system/
Now, I could certainly buy the MST V2 kit just to get the flanges but that seems silly. I've looked everywhere this morning and can't find any standalone, similar adapters I can couple a silicone hose to.
The MST hoses wouldn't be plug and play with the stock box either. I believe the hole in the stock airbox looks to be 2.5", and the MST hoses are 2.75" off the flange (I think, I found another post about this), so I'd need a 2.75" to 2.5" silicone elbow, which of course exists. (The reality that even if they were the same diameter, they'd line up with the stock airbox exactly is also unlikely, but again, silicone hoses can be cut and modified).
Anyways, has anyone thought about something that involves just the turbo inlet pipe upgrade? What have you done?

Regarding the last reply about the part I'm trying to replace, the stock turbo inlet pipe off the airbox:
So here's what I've got in the works. I got some turbo flange adapters that will mount to the turbo. Both the turbo flanges and airbox inlet hole have a diameter of 2.75":
It looks like the longest turbo inlet tube is about 8". So I was looking for a 90 degree silicone tube that had an ID of 2.75" and about 10" legs so I have something to work with:

Plan is to basically just cut 2 silicone 90 degree hoses to fit (since the turbo inlet pipe is a 90 degree curve).
I've got another intake on the car, hence having these parts off for measurement. I don't know quite when I'll get to the next step but I'll let you guys know.

Also, it's totally possible I just wait and get the Logos Engineering front mount intakes if I can whenever they're available haha.

as you can see we maxed out the available room, so much so that the original OEM elbow fits INSIDE our elbow. We just finished the passenger side prototype yesterday and will commence on the driver side. Getting 90 degree silicone elbows wont work for a clean look, in order to tuck under the ductwork, avoid engine parts, and provide the most volume. just another option for those who want somthing OEM like. Since we just finished the 1st prototype we hope by end of September for the Luxe box.

How can I stay on top of hearing about it's availability? I assume just follow along your Facebook for updates? I'll totally just wait for something like this!

look at that fat boy! -FYI we increased the interior volume +2% from the last iteration in the CAD drawing. This ultimately will come with silicone couplers to mate the 2 sections.

basically replacing both turbo inlets and swelling them as large as they can under the duct- along with a new airbox top. If you look at your airbox top- it breathers through this tiny triangle of an opening.
The Luxe box will have the elbows and new air box tops that make them tall and huge. In essence we are increasing the volume of "reserve air" the elbows can draw from by crating a larger "chamber" within the top of the airbox. We may (still debating) do a new air duct as a add on, that will be larger/ do away with the sound baffle inside of it (yes there are sound baffles inside your stock air duct right now).
Having the larger duct will enable us to make the elbows even bigger.
see how much room there is to make the top of the airbox taller therefore increasing interior volume? (see pic below) -this mod is aimed at the more conservative Luxury oriented modder.
