Update: It is normal, makes sense, the driveshaft and all is flexing, all MBs pretty much does this.

End of year isn't too bad, it is almost August, just four months before the end : )

@MatthewJ

I contacted this company as I'm looking at the C400 and C450. Liquid core mounts are not very durable and
decline faster when subjected to high temps. Considering we're going to be dealing with higher temps due to
a warming planet, standard rubber isn't ideal for transmission either.

A strut bar is probably in order for the C400. I think the C450 has one..

I was looking to see if the C63 transmission mount could be used but it looks like it's a different part. Typically there's more rubber with AMG so it lasts longer.

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed in the delay. I've been planning to do a full trash session to refresh the drivetrain and install my hi-flow DPs, but waiting until the end of the year is totally out of the question for my timeline.

Yeah, it is. I mean it depends on how you drive and garage will extend life. What DPs did you get?

CTS does NOT guarantee no CEL. I got some spacers from Uro Tuning.

If those don't work, I'll pay EC to make it go away.

Nice. Will you post a video when you've got it squared away?

I've looked at AWE. Nice product and does have NO CEL GUARANTEE but it's a pricey.

So, this thread kind of got side tracked off of motor mounts.

I'm at about 60,000 miles (?) on my 2017 C43 and during today's B service at the dealer they found a failed motor mount. Fluid leaked all over from driver's side (left) mount. I think they included the transmission mount in the quote with both motor mounts. It's over $2,000 at the dealership, about 35% parts cost and 65% labor cost. Sticker shock, again.

I am expecting mine to go any minute now. Haha.
I’m at 110k kms (I’m from Snow Mexico).

Anybody know if these upgraded mounts ever got made?

Perhaps a strut brace? That might help reduce front chassis flex when turning hard or accelerating thus putting less work on the mounts.

60,000? That is actually a little bit low for the mounts for this vehicle but other than that transmission mounts are super easy to do on our cars.

Interesting thought! If there's flex in the body/chassis, then it may be pushing in some unexpected way on the mounts? What are others' thoughts on this idea? It's probably a good idea regardless, since I plan to track the car a few more times in '24. I've seen posts about braces under the car as well as the typical strut tower brace. But, I don't want to hijack this thread into a stability/handling discussion. Just keep replies focused on if these other parts would/could/should have any affect on motor mount longevity.

@Jack Olsen Thanks for your email, it says you disabled receiving emails or private messages. I wanted to reply to you but can't reply to you other than tagging you on this thread. I haven't had a chance to change my mounts yet, as for your questions in regards to installing, other forum members on this thread should be able to help you out.

Can one get away with replacing only driver side mount or is that nonsensical?
I presume it's 1K for both from a mechanic?

Given the imbalance definitely recommend replacing both plus all that labour and time only make sense to replace them both.

Found a car but there's slight vibration plus axels are clicking. They are willing to replace front axels at their cost but with aftermarket.
I'll presume mounts is $800 to $1,000 from an indy. Thanks

I believe so. He said a little noise. The dealer is relaying information. Not sure aftermarket is wise.

I see, how come they didn't send you a sound clip of the clicking or send you pictures of the broken component?

Uh.... I wonder if you should get a second opinion...

I am only skeptical because axels going bad on this car is rare to none, the only common issue are leaking shocks. I don't want you to be ripped off by the stealership.

Recommend getting a PPI.

The car is in Texas. I'm beginning to question their diagnosis. Vibration could be transmission mount.
