I apologize if this was already posted as I don’t spend much time on this side of the forum, but I just thought I’d share. Imo price is a bit high considering age and miles, but I guess it is one of those cars where giving it a price tag is hard just because of its rarity, plus C43s seem to hold their values really well anyway. Really hope whoever ends up with it is on the forums because it would be so cool to watch this thing live on on this side of the border.

Cool car. Potential buyers should be certain about the provenance and how it came into the U.S. market, as it may have an effect on titling and registration.

that’s true. I think to be able to import a car from Canada to the US you need to be a Canadian and US resident and must have owned the car in Canada for at least a year. It was imported here and registered in Washington at the end of 2022, not sure how easy it’ll be to register in other states.

I see, didn't know that but I assume the E 63 S Wagon was a thing in the USA right? FWIW, the 206 C 43 wagon is also not available in Canada, too many people buy SUVs which completely drained the sales of wagons, unfortunately.

yep we got the E63 wagon. Shame they dumped it from the Canadian market. The C43 has been the “goldilocks” car imo ever since it came out many years ago, and I found that statement to be most true in wagon form. I still find that to be true with the W206.
I will always pick a wagon over an SUV. I hear all this praise about these “high performance” SUVs but I find it to be all BS. People go crazy for the X5 and X6 M50i and M models and they talk about how well they handle. Well I even started believing it seeing as the sales were going through the roof and high performance sedan owners were trading their cars in on these SUVs. That was until I went on a small trip a couple weeks ago. I took a weekend trip to Palm Springs and took the mountain road to get in. There’s a sizable elevation change and many fun tight corners. In front of me was an X6 M50i who was driving very aggressively, we both had the same mindset of having fun. I could tell that he was at the limit of his car as it almost got away from him a couple times. He was PUSHING it. I was in my C300 with the AMG-line package right behind him. He probably figured that as he was in an M-light car and I was in a normal C class and not an AMG that I was at my limit too, but I wasn’t. I later passed him when the road opened to two lanes for a couple miles, and within a few corners of him and I both pushing our cars, I was way down the road. Granted the AMG-line on the C300 is much more than just an appearance package, I bet it was still pretty embarrassing for him in his “M” suv to be left behind by a lowly C300.
Yes, even in Canada we are seeing less and less wagons. My C43 replaced a Volvo V60 wagon which was also a great car. I haven't owned a vehicle with a trunk in nearly 30 years and loath the SUV trend here too. I've yet to drive an SUV that handles remotely as well as this beast.

Ya there is a lot to appreciate in a wagon but Americans just love SUVs, can't do anything about it.
Price does seem a bit high. That's just about what I paid for mine last week. Less miles and better spec on mine but I guess that's the premium you pay for a unicorn car in the US.
On a related note, anyone know how to retrofit the AMG crest projectors into the doors?

Yep a real shame. I think a lot has to do with the old woodie wagons. Those were horrific and a total old man’s car. I guess too many still associate wagons with those.

No doubt... But what a great sleeper. I just started playing with map 2 on the jb4... This thing is a beast and from the outside it looks like a grocery getter.

Yes I think that is part of the reason, another one I believe was that people feel safer in SUV for some reason

That sounds so fun! Reminds me of an old 535 wagon we had. It was tuned pushing 440 hp, total sleeper. An E90 M3 coupe pulled up aside us, he tried to race and was left behind. Fun times, also the biggest POS car I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. That warranty really came in handy, a lot. Never again BMW!

Yeah I’ve heard people say that. I can agree with it because when you can see over everyone it does give you a sense of security, but in reality SUVs are more prone to tipping and less safe than their sedan and wagon counterparts.

I don't condone street racing or anything, but as a nearly 50 year old, I couldn't resist tangling with a TLX s type today. He was all over the back of my car and when we ended up lining up at a light, he went for it. I embarrassed the hell out of him up to about 100km/h and he gave up. Wouldn't even come near me after that. I kept slowing down to chat with him but he kept 20 car lengths behind.

What a car!!
LOL you embarrassed the crap out of him! Gotta love a fast wagon! Hopefully you didn’t embarrass him with his girlfriend in the passenger seat

Yes especially when cornering and it is also not fun in the twisties. Another part of why you can see over everyone I guess it is also do to the fact there are so many SUVs on the road, if everyone bought sedans, if you are in a sedan you won't have trouble seeing them except over lorries I guess.
