Did this manage to fix your exhaust note sound ? My car has too stopped popping and banging on the up gear shift.
actually with half way opened throttle body it had the pops and bangs just initially it wasn't doing it as loud as it was probably because of the adaptation period
verify your car if have any limp code, check on media screen if you see full HP/kW and Nm when you kick down the car, check if you have full boost on the amg screen

hmm strange my car has full boost and showing the full 360hp on the screen. I just can’t figure out why my pops and bangs have disappeared. That’s the entire reason I fell in love with the car in the first place ! Is there any other advice you can give me on how I can get this back? I don't think there's a reason because of the TCU the car to start sounds quieter
Maybe you can bring more clarity, does happen from nothing or you did some updates/service?

Bit of a back story: the car I bought was a 2017 c43 that had been in a front end accident. I rebuilt the entire front end of the car but I left out the collision sensor. The symptoms occurred when I went to a coder to have the collision sensor coded out. As far as I’m aware that’s all he did from the ecu. He didn’t perform no updates or resets. Attached is the particular fault that was coded out the car. Since this the car exhaust note has completely changed. I don’t know if this is the main culprit of the exhaust note changing but this is when I noticed the cars behaviour change.

that;s really strange, do you have power exhaust if so does your flaps are opened on both sides when you press exhaust button or in S+?

I first thought the same. I’d thought it’d be an issue with the flaps but I took the actuator spring out so the flaps stay fully open. This too did not solve the issue and the car did not perform any bangs or pops on the shift.
I can’t 100% say if the car had a remap or not as i personally didn’t remap it and I’ve only owned the car for 2 weeks. I personally think the car was not remapped as a friend of mine has one and his pops and bangs from stock.

unfortunately i have no other ideas what could be, last thing which is in my mind that the guy my reset your adaptations and you need to drive few hundred km until adapts and you get again pops... give it a try and see how it is

Can an adaptation cause this much of a drastic change the exhaust note ? And can an adaptation be reverted back to its former self ?

yes at least from what i experienced when dealer remove my stage 2 the car was so quite until did some adaptations and then the car change its sound to better, you can't revert back adaptations but with few hundred km it should make the adaptations back and you should have i hope your bang and pops back )

Air leak codes and pops and bangs goes away.
same with cat or O2 codes, some temp codes.
And crappy tunes does it too, just a regular 10% here 20% there tunes will effup the calculations.
Not as far as im aware nothing to do with the ECU. The car still has its full power and pulls really well. Is there anyone specific I can go to diagnose this issue?

Had an exhaust fault code a few weeks ago for blocked actuator. Fault code cleared and has since not returned. Garage said flaps appear OK…new spark plugs and air filter fitted a few days ago but no software updates done
