2018 C43 AMG - Canadian Recall
Recently found out that my 2018 C43 AMG has a powertrain software recall in Canada. I own the car in the US and MB dealerships in my area are not willing to do the recall work since this is a recall only in Canada and not the US.
Anyone else had this recall and gotten it taken care of? What was the process/ how long did it take for them to fix the issue?

These software updates take 5 minutes to do, dealers may take up to an hour depending on how busy they are just bringing your car in.
The software update helps "dampen" the torque command of the accelerator to reduce the infamous bucking of the C43 cars. Owners report slightly smoother shifts.
This update has been known to kill the loud upshifts with the performance exhaust but make it so the exhaust flaps are more open during regular driving (more burbles, less bangs)...

I haven’t been driving much in Sports + since but will test this out as the bucking shift from 1 to 2 was a little much previously.
I did notice the car sounding quite “nice” at urban speeds. I’ll have to test the performance exhaust out soon, but I think you have accurately described the changes.
I wonder if this is actually good or bad overall.
