When car being serviced as Dealship, how do they stop remote features?

I have my car at the dealership and was wondering I get all the notifications when my car starts or stops based on my settings. How do they prevent me from starting the car or locking the doors while they are servicing it? Yes, odd question but just was curious.

They don't really, but remote start won't work if the hood is open and/or the car is unlocked. You could lock it remotely, but they usually leave a window down so that they don't lock themselves out. So really, unless the car is just parked in their lot, you are not gonna cause any issues if you decided to play with it. The notifications are nice to know when they are working on it and when the car is just sitting in their lot. I also have a geofence around the dealership, so I get notified when they are taking it off the premise.
