I just thought I would share a new caliper bracket that I have machined for my friends 2017 C43. It allows fitment of a 390mm rotor with 6 or 8 piston calipers.
I can also machine them for 360mm rotors.
I also machine a 19.7661.05 bracket for SL/ E etc.
Theses are made from billet 4140 stronger than stock and far superior to aluminum.

I have thought about the strength of the bracket. This is why I will not or ever make them out of aluminum, I have been ask many times. This is why I choose a 4140 steel pre hardened.
4140 comes in annealed or pre hardened.
I have by request made a set of the19.7661.05 bracket for a R230 SL out of titanium, which there are different grades. We choose to make them out of grade 5 titanium for its strength and recommendation by an aerospace engineer friend of mine.
As for destruction testing it would be a good idea to have it done. To have an actual figure on how much torque it can take.
