Talking "Check Brake Pads, See Owners Manual" Warning

Well I finally got the "Check Brake Pads, See Owners Manual" Warning. My Facelift 2019 Saloon currently has 46k miles on her . When I purchased her three years ago she only had 32k miles. As you can see I only put 14k miles on it in three years. (I had a Company Car ) I am a Little OCD and the Brake dust from these OEM pads are seriously the worst I have ever owned on a motor vehicle! The dust these Pads generate is crazy.......l would detail my car and wheels, go for a 15 minute drive and when I return my wheels are covered with brake dust again. I am a little OCD, So you can say I have been waiting three years to do this replacement/upgrade. I was expecting to replace them in my first year...

I am going to attempt to change the brake pads front and back myself. I have done complete brake jobs in the past, but I'm not going to lie it's been more then 10 years ago and it was not on a Mercedes. (R56 Mini Cooper S & MK6 GTI). I plan on refurbishing the GTI and Rotors, Pads and Lines are on the list. So for me this Pad swap couldn't have came at a better time. I opted for a Ceramic pad for the lower brake dust. I have watched a ton of "DIY" Youtube videos and it looks pretty simply enough to do with hand tools. I have a calibre and will check my Rotor thickness when I take my wheel off. I am curious if anyone has any good tips or tricks to make the swap that much easier. I am curious if anyone could recommend good replacement Rotors if I needed them. I am leaning toward s OEM, but am open to a better performing one if there is one out there.

Thanks in Advance, AXO

These are the replacement pads i purchased. Brembo Prime Ceramic and (2) Brake Pad Sensors.
Brembo P50139N (Front)
Brembo P50133N (Rear)
Beck Arnly 084-2082 (Brake Sensors)

Yup they are super soft and dust easily, ceramic coating the wheels help with getting it off when cleaning, other forum members recommend Redstuff to replace oem ones.

Your new ceramic pads should serve you well.

Normally pads hardness is matched with disc material. The stock rotors are Brembo should work well with your new Brembo pads.

else Zimmerman rotors paired with Akebono ceramic pads do an awesome job together.

Don't use "synthetic-petroleum brakes grease", instead use "high-temp silicone brakes grease".

Yellow Stuff are dusty but bite better for daily driving.

Alebono pads

Going to use Akebono pads. In my vintage bimmers, I used Mintex pads. Hardly any dust!
Looking forward to not having rusty wheels!

So far the Brembo Premium Ceramic Pads have had minimal brake dust. They dont bite as hard, but that could be they are still new and not fully bedded yet.
