OEM 9G-Tronic Trans Pan vs OEM Nissan Pan

Hey, FNG here. I am about to pick up my new-to-me 2018 C43 Coupe which is at the point where it is due for a transmission service. I also happen to have a Nissan Titan with the 9-speed transmission made by Jatco (JR913E) and licensed from MB. My understanding is that the two transmissions are virtually identical and have interchangeable parts. I just did the transmission service on my Titan and noticed that while the transmission pan seems identical, it is MUCH CHEAPER.

OEM Nissan Pan: https://www.z1offroad.com/auto-transmission/nissan/oem-2022-nissan-frontier-transmission-oil-pan-p-29872.html

OEM MB Pan: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mercedes-at-filter-genuine-mercedes-7252703707

Obviously, the safe bet is to pay the MB tax, but I'm curious if anyone has any information indicating that these pans are not in fact interchangeable.

You can trust the ppl licensing parts are not fools waiting to be undercut with parts swaping.

The proven German designs are licensed to help the Japanese industry thrive to a controlled extent.

Perhaps ultra-thin ATF may be compatible minus some detail to help failure.
All the ATF, coolant and engine oils formulas should be unified - Instead we've got thousand sub-standards to help carve opportunities.

Sticking with OEM sealed parts is the best way to meet required quality standards. With that being said... experiments are the single best way to discover new ways: try it to find out!
