OEM 9G-Tronic Trans Pan vs OEM Nissan Pan

OEM MB Pan: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mercedes-at-filter-genuine-mercedes-7252703707
Obviously, the safe bet is to pay the MB tax, but I'm curious if anyone has any information indicating that these pans are not in fact interchangeable.

The proven German designs are licensed to help the Japanese industry thrive to a controlled extent.
Perhaps ultra-thin ATF may be compatible minus some detail to help failure.
All the ATF, coolant and engine oils formulas should be unified - Instead we've got thousand sub-standards to help carve opportunities.
Sticking with OEM sealed parts is the best way to meet required quality standards. With that being said... experiments are the single best way to discover new ways: try it to find out!
