Dumb question from a newbie

Will the C63 have vented seats?

I plan on trading in my 2005 M3 next spring for a C63 or possibly a one year old E63. I was blown away test driving an Infiniti M45 with the vented seats. I am so used to my arms and face freezing while my back sweats here in our Houston summers. If the C63 only has the heated seats that I can see in the photos, it looks like the E63 will be the better choice for me.

I don't get why you have to crack dumb remarks about it man... the guy just asked you a simple question... that can be answered by yes or no...give him a break! and JimJ ... I don't know about the vented seats... maybe one of the more experienced MB drivers can give you a better answer.

Thanks for the KIND feedback.

All things being equal, the vented seats will just determine whether I get the E63 or C63. I drive about 90% of the time by myself and the remainder of the time with the wife and 2 kids. Also, a 4 door and an automatic are a must for the wife.

I prefer the smaller car but the heat in Houston can be unbearable towards the end of summer. Vented seats are definitely a top ten consideration for my next car.

Do the ventilated seats even work that well? I've never had them so I've never tried them. It just seems to me that they wouldn't work as well as you want them to. Especially in severe heat. I dunno. Who here has them and who likes them?

I had them in my CLS55. Frankly I was really disappointed. I never noticed them working. I still got sweaty on really hot days. The only gimmicky feature I miss is the automatically adjusting seat bolsters.

Well I've never tried the Benz ones, but the ventilated seats on the newer Lexus models work well. You tend to use less air conditioning too, because honestly I am freezing my arms and legs off in the dead of summer sometimes, but like JimJ said, my back is hot and damp!

It's sad if it's still isn't an option to get ventilated seats. Limiting the options on the baby Merc isn't going to make the more expensive ones better, it's just going to make the C suck!

There is no ordering guide out at the present moment, but first thoughts will be that they WILL NOT be available...as soon as the ordering guide is published, I will let you everyone know.

when i was reading through the owners manual, i found a section where there are ventilated cooling. it is an option for other markets, most probably euro market. the dash layout has the button inserts next to the heated seat button for them in fact.
ive never been in a car with ventilated seats.
i can say that with the ac cranking and being sweltering, my *** crack still gets uncomfortable hot. so they would come in handy. perhaps the next car

Vented seats are great. Had them in my ML63 and have them in my Lexus LS460

Awesome option. A must have.

But i have NEVER heard of them being optional (in any market) for the W204.
Im not saying its not possible just because i havnt heard of it, but i would be very surprised if they were optional.

well its in the owners manual. unless its a printing mistake, but it has the layout for the c class w204 with images. and it mentions "not in all markets" so i assume its for euro only

FL? or PFL?

I would be interested to see the Perforated seats, and how they are styled.

This is pretty cool if its optional on W204.

Damn, i just searched.
FL W204 Avantgarde only had Vented seats as optional.

So from 2011 and up.

But not for C63.
