Go look at the Top Gear tests..... The M3 smokes the other cars around a race track. The C63 is king of the drag and the RS4 just sucks.

The C63 is the perfect car if all you did was drive in a straight line
As the drag race was over a very short distance it is hard to judge. I would like to see the C63 up against the M3 on that air strip where top end really comes into it.
Oh. Give the M3 launch control and the DCT and the gap will be much much closer.

as for the Top Gear vid, u are right that the race was short but if u watch as the C63 crosses the finish line, i believe the M3 was at least 3 car lengths behind.

Yes but just as the M3 pulled in the Rs4 in the top end it would also cause the C63 some grief I believe. Only way to tell is to get them both on the air strip and see what happens.
I am sure m5board.com will get right onto this.

Sounds like an excuse
Over such a long drag, it really doesn't matter. If we want to nit, the whole manual transmission thing is a big liability to SMG / auto cars. over 4 gears, you lose 1.5 - 2 seconds worth of acceleration time.
