MY2008 or MY2009?
For those of you who are definitely going to order a C63 or already have money/name down at the dealer, are you thinking of going with a MY2008 or waiting a little longer for the MY2009.
The rumors here are pretty strong that MY2008 will be a short year and maybe only one or two months of cars will be built for the US.
Waiting for MY2009 would have the benefit of a) easing the initial pent up demand a bit and b) if any changes are made for the MY2009, you would get those in your car.
How impatient are we?
I'm going to try to wait it out a bit. At least that way I can perhaps see what BMW does with the M3 (and any possible dual-clutch transmission option) and Audi may make an RS4 announcement as well.

2008 C350
I'm not in the market yet, but I would wait until the MY09 AMG. I bought the 350 now to appease me for a couple of years to wait for either the redesigned E class, or the C63 if I love the 350.
Given what has happened with the US release of the W204 (ie lack of options as compared to Euro models), you might want to wait and see what MBUSA is going to do to the C63 before buying one. Might be worth a few extra months' wait.

It is always a good idea to wait for the 2nd model year to give Mercedes and AMG a year to iron out all the little bugs discovered in the 1st production year model.
