That list is official. I think the MB-Tex/cloth interior is the same as the base C. Leather is an option.

What I'm curious about is some contents of P1 in the base C, none of which is mentioned as standard or optional on the C63:

Rain-sensing wipers
Auto-dimmng mirror
Power folding mirrors
Garage door openers

Standard or unavailable?

Oh well, I guess I understand this stance but I was really hoping it would be available. I am not going to take the car to limits where I notice any difference in handling so the extra few hundred pounds wouldn't matter to me.

Thanks again! At least keyless go is planned...

Yeah I thought the same thing, but I sense that AMG wanted to really step up the handling to compete with the M3 and exluding the pano helps ensure all cars that go head to head in reviews are in a better position to compete.

I beleive all of these are standard on the C63.

Also remember that the "P" packages usually include the lower P packages. For example, a P2 package includes the contents of P1 but adds some new items. On other MB models for example, P3 includes P2 which includes P1, etc.

The normal P2 price is a lot higher than the C63 P2, so it's probably not safe to assume anything. I hope they're standard, but why not mention them in the announcement details since they're not standard on other C-class cars?

"The normal P2 price is a lot higher than the C63 P2" - I think that is why the C63 P2 price is lower - because the some of the items are standard and therefor the P2 price needs to be adjusted accordingly.

The "announcement" details were, according to the private lounge, the "highlights" of the C63 and not meant to be an all exclusive list. I guess they just considered some of the other things to not be "highlights".

The items will be there, it just would not make sense otherwise for the small things.

My dealer said the P1 package is standard on the C63. Originally it was thought that the rear split folding seats would be part of the P2 package but it looks like they made this standard as well, hence part of the reason for the lower P2 price.

Some of those are internal MB numbers for US cars. Standard stuff, not really optional stuff.

Still no prices on options on NetStar as of yesterday. But with VINs being issued US "final" option prices should be confirmed any day now.

Hello. The base price of the C63 will be $53,800 plus $825.00 for destination and delivery charge. You would add options after that. I do not know if there will be a gas guzzler tax on this vehicle. Most likely I expect it will have it. I would expect a nicely equipped one to run just around $60k. Pricing on the options has not been released yet. The first C63's will be arriving at dealers mid to end of April.

Thats it rub in what price you get the motor for in the US $60K

We have to pay about $106K here in the UK, speak about shafted.

Cheers

In Europe, the C-class comes in three states of body trim: Classic, Elegance and Avantgarde. The Avantgarde replaces the normal sedan hood ornament with the flat star and coupe grille, for instance.

http://www.emercedesbenz.com/Jan07/1...ss_Design.html

In the US, they market two design variants. The Elegance is called the Luxury here. The other variant is the Sport, which is the European Avantgarde with the AMG body panels. In Europe, the variant is identified on the flank with a badge. I'm not sure how US C-classes are badged. My guess is that all US C-class cars have the badge deleted since the names Classic, Elegance and Avantgarde are not used by MBUSA now. Therefore they would all have this "option."
