Which reviews to believe

Reviews like motor trend and Car connection have rated the C63 very well. Top gear , car and driver and verdict on cars have said the C63 rides very hard, MPG is very bad / Top gear has also commneted on how intrusive the traction control is and also commneted on rear tire life when they checked out the rear left tire

1) Will the C63 just eat up tires, my expeirience says cars like M3 , porsha's have 10-12 K tire life

2) MPG , I think when driven sanely 18-20 MPG is acheivable

a quarter mile at a time
1. This will most likely depend a lot on your driving style and type of tire you put on the car. You can't put a set of Corsa's and drive like a maniac and expect to have your tires last. If you pick a high performance tire with a higher UTQG rating and drive smoothly/easy, I don't think you'll have a problem getting 20K out of the tires.

2. 18-20 sounds about righ to me too. Might do significantly better on the highway. Again, this will depend HEAVILY on how you drive the car.

You go by the reviews of the U.S. spec cars not the European ones. Suspension tunning isn't always the same from the European models.

Of course a car like the C63 is going to eat up tires! These hi-po tires are soft and stickey which provide a great drive, but they wear quickly simply won't last long is you like to turn, stop, accelerate with any authority. Fun, but expensive. I once again will be shopping for new summer tires once it is time to take off the Blizzaks.

You can't really take any Top gear review seriously. It is more of a comedyshow than a carshow to me. IMO they should tone down on the comedy and focus more on the cars instead of all that nonsense "my car is better than your car bla bla bla"

And the LSD of the Performance Package will significantly reduce rear tire life even more. Something to consider (along with increased wet-oversteer and dry-understeer) before declaring it a must-have.

none
I would listen to the US reviews when it comes to ride quality...Top Gear has reviewed several cars that ride quite nicely over here...they have cobblestone streets...

I think the avg MPG ~ 15 when looking at similar cars in terms of weight and HP...

Roads in England are smoother than our roads. Our need to use cement over tarmac is a cause.
