make it look good on the outside for their typical buyers...that are pretty clueless when it comes to cars.

have you even seen what's below the beauty cover of the ISF?
i would rather work on a BMW, Audi, Mercedes anyday...

yes typical buyers might not care since they'll never touch a wrench in their life

What a rat's nest. Toyota has strayed far from the 2JZ.

Simple, gorgeous, insanely powerful, totally bulletproof.

There's always someone with a bigger gun. Besides I built it when I had a huge chip on my shoulder. Thanks about the pic, we worked hard to get that bay that clean.

Riddle me this, if you could get a brand new, JZA80 Supra, or this Lexus IS-Fugly, which one would you choose?

I was next to a late build Supra on the 405 Wednesday. It didn't have the rear wing so I'm assuming was the NA version. My knowledge is not great compared to say what I know of the Evo VI and R-34 Skyline. Been lucky enough to drive both of them, albeit only a very short spell in the latter.

Dismissing the ISF and even the Evo 6.5 is easy enough but as for a FI Supra vs R34, well that's a tough one. If it's built like yours, I'll take the Sup.

That's called a spider web. It's one hell of a royal mess when you take that cover off, but you are finding every conceivable way to bash the car.

That's fine, but what are you bringing to the table sir? Just a thought, would you roll down your windows and say, "Yeah, I got smoked, but my car has a cleaner engine bay than yours sucker"

You're the one comparing the last model Mercedes cars, to the latest model Lexus.

Compare the C63 AMG to the IS-Fail and we'll see who wins...

Smile Welll...

The IS-F got owned by the RS4 on the video.

I got to see one at the Taste of Lexus event, and was not impressed then either. Only my opinion though, some will love it.

looking for E55 AMG
I checked one out the other day and I thought it was a pretty sweet ride. You really have to see it in person to appreciate. Performance wise it will not hang with the RS4, M3, or C63 of course. I could be wrong, but I don't believe they were going after that buyer.

From what I hear(I didn't get to drive one...not enough time) the car drives like a regular lexus until you step on it. This will be a major plus for a lot of people. The seats were INCREDIBLY comfortable and the interior(except for the silver) was awesome.

This thing is a Lexus so you know it will run forever and have few issues. Also, I bet resale will be strong as well. Keep in mind, most peopel that buy Lexus really like the understated aspect of the car. Not for me, but I didn't think the car was bad...I kind of liked it.

2005 E55 ///AMG
This IS-Fugly is version 1.0. IS-Fugly 2.0 will be much better...that is if the CAFE standards don't kill the whole project.

how can you even compare the performance numbers of a previous generation to what the current generations of RS, M, AMG, and F are? To those of you asking what you'd do when you get "smoked" by the IS-F....what would you do when you are dead even with a 335? the notch went up too drastically.

the point is it still lost to it's competition. the manufacturer doesn't build cars aimed at the previous generation per say.

further, 85% of Lexus sales are to the baby boomers; those about to retire or "fall off the map." Lexus is trying to influence their sales toward the younger generation. personally, i'm hoping for failure. ;o)

We've all seen the videos of the C63 vs the M3 and RS4 and this car loses to the Audi guess Lexus missed the mark on this some how.
That vid is Bull Sh@t. This vid does not help me draw any kind of objective opinion on this car.

Why would it stop me from purchasing the ISF. Because it had fake exhaust tips Pleez!

You guys sound like the BMW guys who say the C63 is an ugly step child from the transformers. Give me a break!!

The IS-F may not be faster than the RS4 in the 1/4 mile ,but after the 1/4 mile the show will be over for the RS4. My W202 has proven that to me over and over and over.

They also said that the IS-F has a better braking distance than the RS4.

Anyway, for each his own but I like the way the car looks and I'm sure it looks better in person.
Screw the overpriced, piggish V8 RS4, the real RS4 was the TT V6 anyway!

A lot of hatred for the B7 RS4 there. I like it and on tight roads in wet weather few are faster. Suspension/brakes are far better than the B5 RS4's. However, no comparison for people into modding though and I'm guessing that's your perspective

Funny, but the pundits aren't owners of the current M/AMG cars. Bring those to the table and we can all talk.

So yes, the ISFugly (which I agree), will smoke the C32/C55/E46 M3. As simple as that. I for one will prefer the AMG since I am an AMG owner myself, but I have no problems with bringing more competition to the table. I live in capitalism, where monopoly brings nothing to the consumer.

I agree on the RS4's engine bay. But like the new RS6, shame it's so far ahead of the front axle. BTW, make sure you update you avatar as I think it's "Granturisimo"
