C 63 Depreciation...
Any one know how much the C-63 Depreciation in 2 years?
I heard it's more then 52%?
Let's say, I got it for $69K, I put $40K Down and the finance it for 5 years...
And in the 2 years, it's only sold as 40-45 K? Is that what I should expected?

If you're concerned about the market price of this car only 2 years after buying it new now, you may want to consider waiting awhile till prices drop considerably below MSRP or buying a used one. The depreciation after 2 years of owning a used car will be considerably less.
New car buyers typically accept the fact they are going to take the biggest hit in depreciation. Unless they buy one of those extremely rare cars that actually appreciate in value.

You will get an idea when the MB residuals come out for leases. AMGs have a history of being below the average car for residuals. But noone knows for sure what the real market value will be until 2 years from now.

Especially the comment I bolded above... I always scratch my head when someone asks what the 2-year-old used car market will be for a model that hasn't even been released new yet, not to mention a chassis that isn't even two yet. Whoever told you 52% is wrong - it'll be exactly 48.37%, just wait and see...

Well...I dont know...but 48% still a huge hit for me...or is that suppose to be neutral?
I am going to talk to my dealer ship again, and this time I might be going to cancel my order..If some one want to jump at my place (I got it shipped on the end of June in Seattle) please feel free, if not I am just take my deposit off.

you want a close to real depreciation, why not average previous AMG models and current models and you'll get a number, it won't be pretty after 2 years, look at 1 year old fully loaded e63's selling for 25-30k under MSRP...

Well you can expect 30% in the first year, 20-25 the next year. So I would say that sounds right. You have to remember why would someone buy your 2 yr old car at a higher interest rate and 2 yrs less warrenty, plus wear on the car, If the gap between new and pre-owned wasnt significant. It is pretty standard for a car to loss this kind of money, with very few exceptions
( honda toyota ).

Who said you couldn't lease the C63? That's what I plan on doing for business tax purposes and the option to hand my keys back over in 3-4 years. My salesperson at MB San Francisco said it wouldn't be a problem with leasing.

If you are worried about the depreciation then get a CLS55 they don't depreciate as fast by what I see compared to the others.
