'05 F150, '99 Civic Si (The non-rice variety)
All three talked about the ESP and how much slip angle it lets you have in track mode (or was it sport mode?) I never heard them mention that they could completely disable it. With that said, Paul Tracy still managed to loop one well off course.
Wonder if it's possible to turn ESP completely off on this car (and not the cheesy "dyno mode").

I’m glad they liked the car, but I really didn’t like the show. It was boring and it had very little entertainment value. Although I’m sure it wasn’t as boring for 90% of the AMG enthusiasts out there who don’t regularly hang out at this forum.
But why did they think that we would love to see a bunch of guys driving in unison, giggling and chuckling and said things like “I’m gonna get you Tommy”.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
This part is just boring as hell. I think they need to hire the TopGear editor, seriously.
And what’s the point of Tommy driving the car in Hawaii? There are other ways to show how comfortable the car is on rough roads. We’re not a bunch of kids who’d be easily amused by the idea of “Fire and Ice” driving conditions.
And what’s the point of them single-lap racing each other? That’s a total waste of time.![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
Oh one more thing, when shooting the navi pop-up scene, push the button on the center console instead of the one on the lid. It’d be more dramatic.
I'm glad I saw the show, but I'm also glad I didn't have to change my schedule around it.

What is up with the goofy front spoiler on the cars shot in the snow? Looked like it belonged on a Honda.![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Gotta get me some of those spiked tires next winter!

2009 C63 AMG
The C63 came in SECOND place over all as usual, behind the M3.
On page 68 in the graphic for the race track, it states "... M3 is turning this into a farce..." The C63 was a full 3.8 seconds behind the M3.
The C63 Test Drive show was very boring indeed, as stated by a few others
already. The M3 Test Drive show was a lot more interesting.
Be that as it may, this C63 is one incredible car. I can't wait to see some M3 M-DCT vs C63 comparisons.

The front "spoiler" was actually just a protective piece of plastic to protect the front fascia of the car from being damaged when they crashed into the snow/ice drifts.

2009 C63 AMG
I would have liked to see both cars put through the same paces.
The C63 put through the same performance tests, slalom, brake zones etc.
I didn't object to the performance tests, because after all, that is what it is all about, the relative performance of the reviewed cars...

The winter drifting thing just dragged on and on.....no interest there but the Phoenix track with pro drivers giving there commentary was sweet. This is the kind of car you can buy and not do a thing to it and it still has more HP that you'll ever really need for the street.
I concur that the sound it flat out awsone - when it's WOT it really sounds like a NASCAR. I can't wait to see a few on the local lots. Got the car washed at MB over lunch time and asked one of the sales fellows when the C63 will be on the lot -- he told me September. Great to know the guy is on top of things!
GOTTA LOVE THIS RIDE.

This program followed the F1 at Monaco and I stayed along for the ride.

Lewis Hamilton conquered treacherous, wet conditions to put his drivers' championship quest firmly back on course with victory at an eventful Monaco grand prix.
It was a Daimler-Mercedes-Benz-AMG Infomercial, but still entertaining on a long holiday weekend. The car sounds good -- very much like a Corvette.
Too bad gasoline prices make a car like this a serious indulgence. The C63 AMG is rated at 12 mpg city/19 mpg highway, so it might escape the tax
In the future cars like this will become few and far between.
All the more reason to buy one now while you still can. Just make sure you have a daily driver that returns better MPG.
