MBUSA - Configure a C63?
#4
This car is fully optioned and this is the sticker. So you can do your own math. The Keyless Go and P30 package are next year and after watching the one video maybe carbon fiber trim.

Cars are generally more expensive here in Canada.. they told us that our cars in Canada are going to be better than the ones they are going to be offering to the US market simply because they have included the price of the leather seats and key-less go feature into the car and they want us to think that they are just being generous to this Canadian market.

Doesn't it make sense to wait for the '09 model for two reasons....?
1.) Keyless Go
2.) Resale Value - Anyone who buys an '08 will already be in the hole quite a bit when the '09s come out. Even if the '09 was exactly the same car with the same options available I would still wait just so my resale value is about $2500 better than a late delivery '08. MB is really screwing the folks who go for the '08 out of the box.

the more I see posts like this, the more I think that this car is a freakin steal. $65k WITH GG tax already vs. a fully loaded E92 M3 at $72k WITHOUT GG tax...
too bad I still think the M3 looks waaaay better than the C63

2002 BMW M3, MB C63 On Order
$2600 for the gas guzzler tax is a lot more than the $1,300 of earlier estimates. That's an additional 3 tax brackets higher and 2-3 mpg less than the E90 M3 Manual. Supposedly the DCT is even better and may reduce the GG to $1000 or $0.

Gas guzzler tax for the DCT is still $1300. Not bad all things considered.

20+ to list......
Saw an E92 M3 for the first time at Throgs Neck Bridge toll plaza yesterday around 4:00 P.M. with "AMG THIS" plates. I can't say I was impressed by the looks of it, maybe I'd seen enough magazine articles on the car that make me numb.

lbs for lbs the c63 has the nos to beat the M3, performance handling M3 has it.
But for the amenities Im siding with the AMG... now Im just worried about the much talked about harsh ride and the maintenance schedule coming out off my pockets.

How do you define "soon"?
The S63/CL63 have been out for a year and there is still no "build your own" on the MBUSA website. Even after a substantial redo of the site last year, it continues to lag behind other vehicle manufacturers, including it's European counterparts (i.e. www.mercedesbenz.com). Germancar1 is right on the mark, here.

I said it, the cars are now showing up at dealers and yet MBUSA has nothing on their site worthwhile. You can't build one, which is what is most important.
