C55 AMG, 135i, 911 GT3, GLE43 AMG
Hooray!! One of the few times the C63 beats the M3 in a mainstream car mag comparison test. Basically, the C63 won because of its significant acceleration advantage, along with the fact that the C63 also was not that far behind the M3 in terms of handling.
This test was basically done on everyday roads, not a track circuit. As mentioned many times before, the C63 is likely the better performance car for everyday roads, while the M3 shines on a track.

Nonetheless, this is the second time for C63AMG winning and I think as PC has mentioned because the test was on a normal road not track and it make sense for most of us.

Yippee- Hats off MB
Glad the C63 won. C&D and R&T's love affair with the M3 is finally over. I agree wholeheartedly that the C63 is the better car this year. The C63 looks better, has more horses and has a lower price point out the door.
Way to go MB.
I took delivery today and can't wait to go to the airport in a few hours. Too bad she has to stay there for a few days.
A Merc convert.

About freaking time!! Maybe the tradition of kissing BMW's *** is coming to an end for the mags.
You can't ignore that engine anymore. C63 FTW indeed, I really need to get that put on a liscense plate when I get my C63!!

this is real head to head comparison..
no matter what people may argue.. same day, same track, same editors..
let's not take figures from 2 months ago or some euro mag. This is real world testing.
next up.. the Daul Clutch Trans of the M3 vs the C63

if you want to get to the numbers..
http://www.roadandtrack.com/assets/d...comp_chart.pdf
114.4 vs 110.4 on the M3.
and look at the MPG.
Don't over look the lexus.. it will keep up with any C63 and most stock E55's.
the margins is very minimal between the Lexus and MB.
and it does not have the gaz guzzler tax, but performed the worst MPG out of the group.
So far the C63 has been very consistent at around 113 to 114+ and a rare 116 a few months ago.

Which were 3.9 and 11.9, IIRC. A very good question... the 0-60 seems more "legit" IMHO - we're only talking two-tenths difference. The 1/4 mi seems less so... unless C&D had a fast track, perfect launch, and possibly a PP C63 w/ LSD, you'd think it'd be hard to pick up a half-second versus another mag's test... wouldn't you?

2009 C63 K1
My last 4 cars have been BMWs...97 and 03 M3 and 2 330's and I am buying the C63. Can't wait to get it either. The M3 may be a better track car but the C63 will be way more fun.
