Always have been a BMW guy much like many others here but had to get my hands on the M156 before it became a relic or it becomes illegal to drive because of its thirst for gas. It has got to be the best engine ever to come out of Germany. So much fun, although I have trouble keeping my foot from hammering the throttle all the time. Here are a couple of pics of my '13 P31. The 507 wheels were a recent pickup for a fellow forum member who was awesome to work with. I'm glad to see the MB community is as much of a family as the BMW community.
Had this since January but only really been able to explore the throttle the last couple of weeks as the weather improves... Supposedly 1 of just 21 507 Estates/Wagons in the UK -
Wheels look pretty much like the old OEM W124 500E wheels back in the days
Any issues on the track like oil temp, transmission or breaks?
I had them all
Hi
Original EVO 2 Wheel on the left
Dome,
You are correct, these wheels are similar to the the the OEM W124 E500 wheel and the W201 190E EVO 2 ( I have attached a photo of the two wheels next to each other ).
This is an OEM Mercedes Wheel, 18 x 9 ET52, the original EVO 2 and E500 wheels are 17 x 8.25 ET34.
I am fortunate to have a few sets of brand new "old stock" OEM EVO 2 Wheels which I'll be using on a couple W201 restorations I have planned.
I use EBC "Yellow Stuff" Brake Pads and have had no problems.
Transmission overheating problems were fixed by installing a Weistec Transmission Pan (holds an extra 2.5 litres tranny fluid) and added a secondary Moroso Tranny Cooler and Pump.
If you go to the W204 AMG Forum and have a look at the Thread by joe quax "My Merc is Mad C63 Tracktool" and scroll down to reply post #59 you'll see some photos of my install.
Apologies for not giving you a direct link as for some reason computer won't let me.
Cheers.
Looking at ordering a set of black volk ze40's and making blacking out the grill. She's a '13 p-pkg and I wouldn't trade her for the world.
Before doing that I would consider HRE's RC103's. They are HRE's most affordable custom forged monoblock wheel while also being their second most lightweight offering. Not to mention the wheels are custom built to specifically fit your car with aggressive offsets (if you'd like) so that you don't need spacers as is common with the Volks.

Yeah I actually changed my mind and went with the HRE FF15. Tried ordering the Volk and after taking my money they said the sizes on the website don't even exist anymore. Yay
