*** VRP Tuning parts for C63s ***

I have a number of C63 owners asking me what is available for C63s and how different they are from E63s and other 63 engines.

Mechanically all M156 (6.2L) engines are the same, down to cams and air boxes. Power difference comes from egine tuning and exhaust systems.

At this time we are offering VR530 Power Package, which will work on C63s.

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ighlight=vr530

We have dynoed stock CLK63, which is rated at 475 HP and puts down 390s at the wheels. I expect C63 to be around 380-390s at the wheels.

We are also working on shorty headers and kompressor kit:

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...highlight=m156

We do need a local client who is willing to let us test it on his car to see what a stock C63 puts down. Please PM me for details.

BMW 330i - C63 on order.
I spoke today to a respected UK tuning company called DMS Automotive regarding a power upgrade for the C63. They have one that they reckon gives 545 Bhp. I asked whether this was an ECU upgrade and a different exhaust system and was told that it was an ECU upgrade only. It costs £1586 including tax (just over $3000)

My question is: How can they achieve this with the standard exhaust? Is it not as restrictive as thought or are they being optimistic with their figures? As I said earlier they are a well respected company so I see no reason for them to overstate the gains.

Any thoughts.

Cheers.

Ask them to show you a dyno including A/F.

We have one available right now. I need to do before and after dyno with data logging to confirm.

Ask them to show you a dyno including A/F.
Agree, that would be helpful.

Sounds like a plan. When do you expect to complete the job??

I know a lot of people are looking forward to your "trusted" results.

Thanks for that. What's the significance of the air/fuel ratio?

but the C63 AMG´s exhaust systems are more agressive of all AMG models, listens the C63 exhaust systems sound!!!
is the diference only ECU?

CLK63 B.S. sounds marginally better, I'm also guessing the new SL65 B.S. will sound out of this world.

Just because C63 is louder than most 63s does not mean that it is freer flowing.

We will know very soon for sure where bottlenecks are.

Oh, I was hoping it would be Dynojet.

Would you be interested in testing software on your C63?

If you are please call or PM.

Thanks, Vadim.

More noise does not necesserally equal freer flowing exhaust.

For example, and this is a stretch but it's an example, If you took glasspacks and swapped out the mufflers for glasspacks it would be louder but at the same time probably cause a loss in power.
